Re: Security indicator light staying on while car is running

Best thing to do would be to get the security system code read with a scan tool. You'd have to go to a dealer or independent shop unless you know someone with a capable scan tool.

Restarted the car and light went off and hasn’t been back on. I do have a Viper remote start system installed, so ...

Security indicator light staying on while car is running

Hey everyone! Had an odd one happen on my 06 a few minutes ago. We are taking a day trip (I’m currently in the passenger seat). When we started the car, the red security indicator light came on and is solid. Not the usual situation where the car won’t start because of it, because we are going down ...

Re: Rear Blower Location

Thanks for the more in-depth information on this. Appreciate you. Sounds like the Moog setup with the Airlift 1000s and rear shock replacement would be best for me. I would want to keep it conservative regarding lifting it, as I don’t off-road it and it is a daily driver for me, so I think that ...

Re: Rear Blower Location

You can buy line repair kits, but they are a service tool and usually expensive. Dorman Products has a kit; I forget the exact price, but it was in the $300's, I think? Of course, if it's an A/C line, equipment will be needed to evacuate and recharge the refrigerant.

The rear springs from the ...

Re: Rear Blower Location

Even Nissan doesn't replace the lines any more unless there's a reason to do so. The dealers got force-shipped the repair kit to repair the lines, so that's usually what is done. A whole lot less expensive and less work!

Oh really?? I didn’t know that. Luckily this is the first time I’ve had ...

Re: Odd Transmission Issue - Seeking Input

Just an update. I did spend $3200 on a full rebuild replacing everything including new valve body, torque converter, pump, etc. with a 2 year warranty. It was full of metal shavings and coolant. Did the bypass as well. The fluid was gray. Drives and shifts amazing now. Was worth the money for ...

Re: Rear Blower Location

You have to remove the entire rear interior finisher on the passenger side to access the rear HVAC unit. I know you can remove the blower amp without removing the entire HVAC unit, but I don't remember if you can get the blower fan assembly out or not, but I would hope so! If you locate my "sticky ...

Rear Blower Location

Does anyone know how to access the rear blower motor? Rear air isn’t blowing, checked the fuses for it, so am wanting to remove and replace it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Yeah, I really can’t complain about getting 165 out of the trans given the year and issues. I also looked and I do have the factory Nissan radiator. So maybe I set a record? Lol. Will definitely just get a new radiator while it’s down, being as that’s its main flaw. And if I was rich, I ...

Hey everyone, just checking back in to let everyone know what’s going on. The transmission has NOT been dropped yet. Also, I have another vehicle so I just left it in the work parking lot for a little while. Anyway, checked coolant and no evidence of SMOD. Got under the vehicle and engine and ...

Trans fluid level OK?
Correct trans fluid?
Changed recently?
By-pass or new radiator installed?

- Trans fluid is factory spec. Have not serviced the trans recently regarding fluid/filter - trans service is probably overdue

- I know I’ve taken it in for all of its recalls and I believe the ...

Odd Transmission Issue - Seeking Input

Hi everyone, first post. I tried searching through related threads and could not find my exact similar issue that’s going on. I’m hoping that someone can relate or provide their input as to what may be going on with the trans.
