Re: Replace stock sus with Moog/Bilstein?

I loved the change the Bilsteins performed, by themselves.
Obvious that more may be needed here, as, bump stops are being hit, and more coils will stiffen it.

Re: My R51

Thanks for getting on here.

Decent amount of miles, and the '05.

I'm always thinking to myself how well made these vehicles were made, as a pilot, in 2005.
(Apart from early radiator issues of course)

Welcome.

Washer Pump Motor - Nissan Part #28920-7S000

Washer pump motor died and the replacement from Nissan is the entire reservoir for the R51. Up here, $218 CND. YMMV. I wasn't quick to believe that they never sold the actual part by itself, so, dove into RockAuto, and they cross-referenced it to Nissan #28920-7S000 (Xterra, Pathfinder and Armada). ...

Re: Replace stock sus with Moog/Bilstein?

I'd go with the Bills, and if the OEM springs are worn, maybe consider OEM spring replacement as well.

Re: Loss of power in 4low going up steep hill

In reading some information from our friends at Frontier forums, it appears that some programming changes were made after the '09 model year in relation to throttle position / rpm / speed. There is some sort of open throttle / speed limiter programmed in that may cause something like this. Some have...

Re: Loss of power in 4low going up steep hill

get a OBD code reader, and see if "pending" codes are stored there, next time, this occurs.

Re: Finally got myself a compressor air pump

Finally got myself a compressor air pump for my tires. I have one tire especially where it has a super slow leak. Maybe 2-3 psi per month. No one has been able to locate it. Not sure if this is possible, however, I too had something like this. My tire mechanic found it - it was a cracked TPMS...

Re: Just a RAVE to my 09'

So, happy that my Dad always said pack tools when you travel!!! Amazing on how many of us have had this code in the past month. On the spot repair and know-how is what this place assists with. Well done! I would love to do a trip like this, alas on the east I just do not have this type of action!

Re: Aftermarket cruise control

You have no steering wheel controls for a 2012 SE? I wonder if it's easier for you just to add the factory cruise control? My thoughts are: you have a SE model. These versions may have a bunch of pre-wiring installed. Does you IPDM box have the cruise relay installed or the wired pinned from behind?...

Re: Camshaft position sensor

I wonder how far off the cam timing needs to be before the ECM throughs a code for this? Eric O shows that it can be whacked and hacked and not set off codes...his video comes in and around the time you posed this very question. I thought I'd add it here for the fun of it. this baby was chewed pret...

Re: Autoline Smoke Machine - hunt for leaks

Sounds like an excellent tool for the price, especially considering the guessing games you sometimes get into with the codes on Nissan evap systems. Pro tip, though -- the best tool for exhaust leaks is a rag over the end of the pipe and an ear under the car. Even pinholes turn into boom-boom-boom....

Re: I found this very interesting

no one noticed the 2022 Frontier seats inside of the R51 that bolted right in? Thought they were aftermarket. Cool indeed if the new Frontier seats are a bolt up! I took a shot, really. I ordered these from a recycler, and measured them when they arrived (they shipped them from another province for...

Cool! How about the little airbag sensor that tells it if there's a passenger?
that was the tricky part.

A lot of work and detail investigation went into that.

Probably best to PM me for details, if anyone wants to know what details are required.

You say they bolted right in? :) :)

Where did you get them?
Junkyard?
The auto recycler indeed!
