Re: Oil in air mass flow sensor? (92 pathfinder 4x4 V6)

It looks like the PCV valve tube crosses under the intake manifold to the top of the passenger-side rocker cover near the back of the engine. One of those two 1/2-inch tubes coming from the air duct/boot thing goes straight to the front of the same rocker cover - so I guess that's an air *inlet* fo...

Re: Steering wheel controlls not working

Check out this thread. Replacing this spiral cable assembly cured a few problems for me. https://www.thenissanpath.com/topic20150.html#p98849 +1. Failed spirals are very common on R51's and all the close relatives (Frontier, Xterra, A60 Titan, TA60 Armada). Next you'll most likely get an airbag lig...

Re: Oil in air mass flow sensor? (92 pathfinder 4x4 V6)

PS - If you don't find any failures in the PCV system, almost everything else that can pressurize the crank is a severe engine failure. Bad/cracked rings, bad exhaust valve seals, cracked heads or blocks, etc. So I'll cross my fingers that you find something simple. If not, next step is compression ...

Re: Oil in air mass flow sensor? (92 pathfinder 4x4 V6)

See if you can blow through the PCV passages from the valve covers into the crankcase. You may have a clogged cover. Oil really doesn't have any route to reach the MAF except via the PCV system, so either your problem is there or something very unusual is pressurizing your crankcase.

Re: Oil in air mass flow sensor? (92 pathfinder 4x4)

Most likely a bad PCV Valve, could also be a collapsed hose in the PCV system or a clogged air gallery inside one of the valve covers. It's probably causing your poor performance as well.

Re: KEEP YOUR PATHFINDER

The one thing they still didn't fix (and should have) is the turning radius. Big lol, you still point it at Alpha Centauri and maybe it makes a left before you pass Tau Ceti. The new gen Armada actually turns about a foot tighter. :?

Re: Buck me!

Doesn't look like he hurt much besides the fender and skirt, is there any visible damage to the frame or radiator support? Even if there is, the crazy used car prices right now will probably save it from totaling. They usually go by 50% of trade-in book value, and that's a pretty ride that probably ...

Re: CEL...again

The P0325 is a knock code and it's common for it to persist on older Nissans even when the knocks are brand new. It won't light the MIL and I wouldn't worry about it. If you have the top off the engine at some point, just replace the knocks while you're in there. Or you can relocate, that works fine...

Preaching to the choir here. You should write to Nissan North America with your complaint. Maybe they'll run it up the chain of command (or not).
Lol, I work for a dealership. Electrical specialist. Not that it means the Engineering Dept listens to us much. :(

Re: 2013-2015 brake light recall

For the life of me, I don't get why Nissan just warranties zillions of brake switches and doesn't mitigate the underlying problem. That isn't the switches, it's the loads causing arcing across the switch contacts, and it isn't like R52's are the only model with issues. Our Parts Department carries i...
