Re: Longer sway bar links for 2-inch lift?

recently considered this myself, and was most likely going to cut a set of stock replacements and thread them with a die, then add a coupling nut to make it adjustable. the difference in swaybar angle from stock to a 2" lift really isnt much, and there isnt a lot of room between the outer tie r...

Re: Lift help???

when i lifted mine, i did 50mm front and rear. i used a puck-style front kit for the same model year Frontier, and a rear spring-seat spacer for an Armada. all the R51 specific kits had more front lift than rear, to "level" it, but i wanted to keep the slight rake, and it came out nicely. ...

Re: Alternator questions

Mine died far from home in East Tennessee in late June, after spending a few hours slowly creeping around and idling thru a National Park on a very hot day, with the AC working hard, and very little airflow thru the engine bay due to the low speed. Saw lots of black bears up close though. This 2011 ...

Cheap easy tablet holder for suv camping

I have a decent gooseneck mount for the front seats, to use my 8" android tablet for navigation, but I also wanted an easy way to watch a movie hands-free when the seats are folded down and the air mattress is deployed. Here's what I came up with, using stuff I had lying around! 1. 8" andr...

Re: Low profile roof rack - Homebrew :o)

Added a small 12" single row bar to the rear of the rack (you know- to see where i've been), wired thru an aftermarket master switch in the factory blank position by the shifter, and added a 3way toggle switch to send power from the master switch to the relay for the top bar when switched forwa...

Re: Best rugged tire for ~2in lift with stock 18in V8 LE rims

They look great! So does your rig. I imagine you may have a roughride? :P thanx for the kind words. i think it looks better dimly lit or slightly blurry. it's always dirty. and the ride is really quite tame & comfortable. i had similar concerns but it's not harsh at all. very happy wi...

2011 LE v6 w/ stock 18s... 2" lift f/r...LT275/70/18. That's roughly 33s, in backroad vernacular. From Tire Recappers...Backwoods A/T... Tread pattern is very similar to KO2s. Been great in mud, snow, slush, creek beds & beaches. Seen about 10k highway miles and besides humming a little, th...

Re: Low profile roof rack - Homebrew :o)

long time observer, 1st time contributor... here's a diy roof rack i put together Dec.2020. Superstrut, some hardware, commercial black coated steel grid, flat bar, 32" slim led bar. No welding. Just a drill, jigsaw & hacksaw, and hand tools. I'd have to double-check receipts, but I'm prett...
