Re: The Price of Gas

Its on my mind but we are somewhat captured because I am only a member of the bar in CA, the wife's family lives here and my family is nearby as well. Quality of life in CA has suffered a lot in the last 15 years though. Costs are so high that even being an attorney the wife still has to work fullti...

Re: Z1 upgraded ignition coils

Oldish thread here. I have been living under a rock for the last year (well a chubby infant with a bad case of clingynes) and haven't gotten anything done. I was going to try to look up info on the OBD scanner to see if it says anything interesting (as an excuse to replace the coils). I also asked Z...

Re: The Price of Gas

Early apologies if reviving a 2 year old thread is not of your liking But I need somewhere to cry... Just filled up at Costco (Central California) with 91 in my 2010 at $5.39/gal, 16.5gal... just under $90. This is the highest I recall ever paying since starting to drive back in 1999 Just over $3 f...

Re: The EASIEST and most TROUBLE FREE R51 Pathfinder lift??

I am partial to my setup. It's been very nice but I frankly haven't been able to take it on much rough terrain so I cannot speak to that at this time. As for mall crawling it drives great, a much more modern composed feel then the soft walloee crap that it had before. Also, I believe the Koni shocks...

Re: New Valve Covers

Late to the party on this one, but wouldn't a trip the junk yard for the metal valve covers be in order here...?

Re: I found this very interesting

It's a little bit of a conversion. I have to keep the OCS from 2005 of course. The signal output is the same. It's still a transducer/feedback, etc. Nissan never changed anything. Three wires, the same colour, going to a newer sensor, built into the rails of the seat. instead of the bladder. I thin...

Re: I found this very interesting

Did you ever get the details together on the wiring. My 2007 pathfinder is frankly pretty good but the fabric seats are starting to wear (especially the drivers side) and i would love something more comfortable.

Re: New 4 Runner

maybe I am becoming an old fuddy duddy but I am not a huge fan of the 4 cyc turbo instead of the 6 cyc. But if you are not a lead foot and don't intend to tow it may be okay. If your a lead foot you may not benefit much on the MPG front and then whats the point?

Re: Best thing I ever did

If you drive an older pathy, xterra or frontier, you’ve undoubtedly had trouble with the gosh darn clip/spring inside the gas door. Yup... i just sort persuaded it to get a little tighter and then gently persuade it to do what it want. Hum,... now that I think of it, I wonder if that would work for...

Re: Oil Change 5 miles ago : )

I was really disappointed in purchasing Kirkland a couple of years ago (seemed to burn off quite a bit) and have stuck to the M1 since. I have been using Kirkland as well and haven't noticed any issues like that. Curious why your using 0w-40 though, is that V8 thing because I thought the v6 called ...

Re: Z1 upgraded ignition coils

Z1 has the coil pack on same for 280$. (no affiliation). I am tempted. I paid like 150$ for one OEM coil a while back from the dealer ship.... Do i buy these or do i buy another vehicle (you know to have a spare for when one is broken...). Choices choices. https://www.z1offroad.com/z1-products/z1-of...

Re: Random wheel misalignent - Steering Angle Sensor

The issue is not the wheel. I replace the clockspring after the VDS light / SAS code happened. The splines are correct before and after based on the lineup marks on the wheel mount and shaft. Are they your line up marks? Sometimes after an alignment the steering wheel needs to be readjusted. There ...

Re: Clockspring Repair - $20

I am putting this on my list. the clock spring of one of my failures. Stupid part is expensive to. ... like hundreds. I have a spare brand new housing because after that i sent it to the dealer (hurt my pride and the wife wasn't nice about it but didn't want to keep making the same mistake.... anywa...
