You won't get much improvement adjusting your headlights with your HID set-up, since it scatters the light all over the place anyways. Granted it gives you more light output, it is not focused as well when compared to original halogen bulbs. These halogen reflectors in our lamp housings are simply n...

Anyone running 275 65 17 tires on 17inch factory rims?

Hey guys, Im thinking of replacing factory 265 65 17 General Grabbers with something slightly wider in 275 65 17 size. Does anyone uses this size tire of stock 17 inch rims? Any pics by any chance? Any cons going with wider tires aside more rolling resistance and hence lower MPG?

OK, here is a quick update on this vibration issue. We took the rear shaft out and all looks good - new u-joints were pressed in correctly and feel good - nothing is binding, nothing is loose. We took out a front drive shaft (it had new u-joints installed recently) and took it out for a spin to elim...

Kevster, thanks for your reply. Tires are new, replacing them did not help much. This has started after rear shaft u-joints were replaced. I'm also seeing some wet spots on the plastic cover/flange on the back of the transfer case, where rear u-joint is connected. This could be the result of the dri...

Driveline vibration with new u-joints. What else can it be?

Here is the issue - i've been trying to fix some driveline related vibrations and in the process have replaced both front u-joints (big improvement). Tying to fix small remaining vibrationg I have replaced both rear shaft u-joints only to discover the vibration is back! Now it shakes at 70MPH and up...

I don't really see a huge difference between models sold in the States and those available on the european market. The biggest difference is the availability of diesel engines and manual gearboxes on european models. The rest are little things like headlamp washers, Xenon lights, rear bumper reflect...

Have you looked at other u-joints trying to solve this vibration? I know you mentioned you have replaced one already, but there could be more going bad on you. There are 4 u-joints and usually the ones on the front shaft go bad more often. I would check these again before blaming the tranny. If its ...

This could be just a coincidence, but check the exhaust heat shields, where they are attached to the piping by steel tie-wraps (or whatever these things are called) - all of mine needed to be replaced within a few months of each other and all the rattles went away. There is not much other stuff that...

I've used DentWizard services on a few different occasions with very good success. As long as there is some access from the back, almost any dent can be repaired. Too bad that after you fix one, you immediately get a few new ones! :)

you won't see these spots on your truck if you live in Santa Barbara or for that matter anywhere else where they don't throw salt/chemicals on the road to melt ice. I'm in Boston area and I had the same issue on all my previous cars - Mazda, VW, Subaru, Volvo and BMW. All of them had this during the...

You don't have to modify a NEW truck, the new trucks are not affected. How is that??? Nissan is still using the same RADIATOR... anyone think nissan would void your warrenty for making the bypass??? I have been wondering the same thing. They could point at your cooler bypass set up and deny warrant...

SilverGhost, I don't think there is a way to determine if you are at risk or not, unless you can figure out at what point Nissan stopped using these faulty radiators. There has bee a number of 06 models with this issue, but not as many as 05 model year trucks. Personally I think it has more to do wi...
