I went the same route as hfrez above, but put 5K hids of matching color in everyhting. Hella 500 also had a protective tint film on them to protect them from the road debree. This set up was great - it would melt snow. But eventually I got tired of it and sold it. I kept hid for the headlights, conv...
Ok, quick update - I had my 4.0+ VT muffler installed with a custom y-pipe. I kept stock over the rear axle pipe with OEM resonator. The muffler works as advertized - sound is just like stock at idle, just a little deeper and a tad loouder with a little growl under 2K RPM. Over 2K RPM it really come...
I'm contemplating the idea of installing the V8 LE muffler on my 2010 SE. Just comparing both units it appears to be a direct bolt on. The way the piping is going in in both mufflers is oviously different, but the way it lines up with cats is the same on both models. The back piping is the same as f...
So any other updates on Bully Dog units? I'm really contemplating this and would not mind spending $399 (Bully Dog GT) on a device with great monitoring capabilities as well as potential 35 HP gain tuning (using 91 octane). Just curious about some feedback. Apparently its more common on Frontier and...
Spank09PathSE,
Yes, 08 and up have a different set up, but the idea is the same. What did you und-up doing on yours - just disconnected the tubes from the bottom of the radiator and connected them together?
Drain and fill would be the safest and cheaper route. People will have mixed opinions on flushing it under pressure, but no one ever had any problems after drain and fill. Doing this every 30k or so is sufficient.
Are you talking about removing the metal plate in order to get to the Bottom of the radiator? All those bolts should come out fine, even if rusted - Just let them soak a little. Don't melt the plastic shroud with the heat. Just apply more steady pressure and they will come out fine.
Guys, do you think there are any major advantages or running Volant CAI system as compared to a drop-in K&N filter in the stock airbox? Esentially you still get an enclosed box with K&N, feeding colder air from the fender opening with free flowing filter element inside. Plus stock box with K...
So I decided to start messing with the exhaust system on my 2010 Path a little bit. The goal is to replace the restrictive stock Y-pipe, install the quietest free flowing muffler possible, and being able to only hear the exhaust when you punch it. No drone or excessive noise during normal cruizing w...
For those with dronning issues, check out this thread, it is a very interesting read: http://www.thenewx.org/forum/showthread.php?t=51565 Looks like new Dynomax VT muffler offers the best of both worlds - quiet when coasting and louder after you push it past 3K RPM. Here is the manufacturer site: ht...
Looks like you are messing with lights designed for 05-07 models. It will be hard to make it look and work right. I had 06 and later changed to 2010 and yes the fornt end is different - new hood, bumper, lights and grill (not sure about fenders). Lights no only have a diffrent curvature but slightly...
Man, every time I read one of these threads you guys make me wanto to buy something... Looks like I will be getting my kit soon as well. So the consensus is to set it up for individual pressure adjustment with two separate lines for best handling improvement? I rarey tow anyhting, but very intereste...
I just googled them and came across some web-store. There were lots of hits though. If needed, I can probably look up the same place. Moog units were a bit pricy - $50 for a pair. But they looked Bedford than stock end links.
