Short 1-second rattle on cold start can be fixed by switching o better quality oil filter. The cause for this is your oil draining back from the system. Also, I don't consider OEM oil filters - best quality filters. Some of them Will cause this. Put a Bosch or K&n or equivalent and the rattle sh...

I went through a fe w sets rotors on my 06 and 2010. The cheaper the rotor, the faster it will warp seems to be the case in my experience. Rotors usually warp from overheating and rotors made of harder metal compounds will heat up more during braking and will warp faster. You want to pick something ...

Get it flushed and drive it to see if it develops any symptoms. If it starts acting up later, you can always trade-it before it gets bad.

Apparently a lot of FX45s burn oil as well and a good fix for it was using Shells Rotella t6 5w40 oil. Most people report an end to oil consumption with this oil, but you can google all the views if you like. I'm not sur how bad it eats oil in your case, but this is worth a shot before you start rip...

I'm going to bring this thread back to life. I've been using Mobil 1 in my Pathfinder since I bought it, Feb 2011. I just picked up a used 2006 Mazda Speed6 to replace my 91 Honda Prelude. On my Mazda forums, they swear by Rotella T6 5W-40. They claim... "Shell Rotella® T6 5W-40 provides unsur...

You can resolve this by getting a bully dog and bumping up your idle RPM manually. Shake will not be as noticeable.

Make your tire pressure the same on all wheels - if you have over 1 psi difference, this may set your light off, as the system views pressure difference as possible leak. Keep pressure over 30 psi too.

6 grand is the most I would consider offering on that vehicle, even if it was in mint condition. Or 6500 if they take care of the tires and glass.

Why do you guys think speedo will read any different between 265 65 17 and 235 65 17 tires? The only difference is width here. 235 tires will cut through snow better, have less weight and less rolling resistance, hence better mpg. It will not handle the turns any better since it is narrower.

No need to raise the front and removing the wheels - just turn the wheels to access the area, remove 4 screws holding the front of the fender liner ( two on the bottom and two on the side and peel the liner out of the way to access the fog light area from the back. You can by puny the kit and plug i...

I had 2006 and now I'm in 2010 - they a really a same thing aside from the stereo screen in my case. My 06 needed new u-joints fairly early and that was it. My 2010 needed some new body mount bushings up front, and the engine on it is louder - I hear a bit of piston slap first minute during cold wea...

Eliminating numerous connections is definitely a good idea. I had it few minor leaks in few diffent spots after bypassing my 2010. Even with screw-type clamps the oils would still seep out somehow. I ended up buying more transmission hose and just re-routed the lines altogether to eliminate all the ...

Why don't you take off that bumper finisher and see if you actually have a hitch receiver in your crossmember?
