You mean the plenum. If I remember correctly Club frontier has a write up with pics. I just said the heck with all that and did not remove the plenum to replace the plugs in the passenger side as I indicated in this post.

I would not pay more than $350. Fortunately I spent only $50 for the plugs and saved all the labor when I was able to replace the passenger side in about an hour and a half. One of the above links posted describes how I did it without removing the plenum or any other procedure described in the servi...

any tips on doing this without taking the plenum off? what size wobble extension did you use? any other extensions needed? how did you get the coil pack out? I would recommend you remove one coil pack from the driver side and take a good look at how it is assembled, the coil pack does seperate from...

Agree, it's an elaborate procedure to avoid air pockets in the block and the heater pump. If not done like so will overheat the car and or cause a no heat when you run the heater. I think a few drain and refills every certain mileage will replace the old coolant.

Does VDC affect shifts?

It seems that when I turn the VDC to OFF the transmission seems to shift better with no lag and even down shifting seems a bit quicker. Is it just me or does the VDC have something to do with the transmission behavior. In city driving I have been turning it OFF

Nothing! I have not done the complete coolant change. I just did a drain and refill. I estimate stealership is between $125-150 for a complete coolant change.

Correct I am calling the valve cover, rocker cover. I understand it would be a easy fix it's just that to remove the pasenger side cover involves removing plenum and a whole other stuff, time consuming and I don't even wanna know what the dealer would want for that. Anyways I am hoping the oil was s...

Are you planning on a drain and refill, or a complete cooling replacement? If the first just drain the radiator and refill, yo will get out about 1 and a half gallons (6 quarts) approx. If doing a complete drain may want to pay Nissan to do it. I just did my first drain and fill at 100K miles and in...

Even if somehow the spark plug O-ring was bad there can not be oil shooting back from the cylinder into the cavity; seems like either some oil was left in there from the factory or your second guess: a pinched or poor seal of the rocker gasket around that plug cavity. Anyone have a pic. of the insid...

Did my plugs today, turned 100K miles!

Last Friday I turned 100,000 miles (highway miles) I had already bought the plugs so this morning I went for it and decided I was gonna try and remove them (passanger side) without having to remove the plenum, the throtle body or any other stuff as per the service manual. I DID! :D Removing the side...
