hummm , the reason I ask is because Mitsubishi labels their new model year cars on the first week production of July. so as a example a 1st week production date of July 2010 is put out as a 2011 model, interpreted as 07.01.10
My Path is September 05 production , does it make it an 06?

Which month for model year changeover

Does anyone know what month of the year does Nissan consider their vehicle(s) as the the next model year? as example a production date of July 05.... is it an 05 or an 06 model; what is the norm if there is one.

My 05 does too, always thought it was a bit high; more like 1500RPM should be good enough.

Re: 2008 Pathfider rear wiper?

How do you replace the rear wiper on a 2008 Pathfinder? They made it somewhat difficult to remove. It not that expensive, under $20 or so; or you can just buy a cheap regular wiper refill like I did on my 05, remove the original one and cut it to the same size, reinsert it and that's it; works like...

The voltage regulator is internal, or located inside the Alternator; on the 3.0 Litre engine.

At the time mine did it I was using OEM filter. Since then no matter if I use aftermarket or OEM the oil meter is pegged at max.

I looked it up in the SM but it appears that the whole PCV just screws into the rear rocker cover; I did not notice any "bolts" that hold it.

Ok that makes two of us :) I have yet to diagnose it and been driving it like so for the last 20K miles. I found the test procedure in the SM , i Just got to get around to doing it. Does your oil light come on when you open the switch?

Try WIX brand, I have used them on both of my Nissans; they work just as the OEM and at half the cost of the dealer. As a matter fact I replaced mine today.

PCV valve

Any one replace it yet? it sits behind the plenum and seems like it should be reacheable without having to remove the plenum. I don't recall if in the maitanence manual calls for it to be replaced at a certain mileage, 30-60-90K?

Thanks for the input. I am at 100K miles and will do my first coolant drain and fill. I will feel the hoses more carefully for soft spots and will consider replacing them in another 30K-50K miles with my second drain and fill.

I am not asking if I need to buy expensive or cheap plugs  I want to stick with the platinum type (stock). My question is if I would benefit from a cold plug or not.

Standard, Cold or Hot ?

I notice the service manual calls for 3 possible spark plugs for the Pathy. The Standard for normal driving conditions. The Hot is suitable when fouling occurs with the standard and driving conditions are frequent engine starts and low ambient temperatures. The Cold is suitable when spark knock occu...

Upper & Lower hoses

At what mileage should the upper and lower radiator hoses be replaced? I am going to be draining and refilling my coolant soon and just though of these hoses, ther is also one that runs in front of the engine. Any thoughts on these please post.
