Re: Rear Hatch Hydraulics

This hatch strut issue has been my pet peeve for years. Bonked my head a few times. No more!

I just installed these and it lifts the hatch 7” higher than my last ones. I couldn’t be happier!

Someone on a FB group went to the trouble of finding something that would work without binding hinges or ...

Re: Considering an older Pathfinder

I miss my old '01 R50! sold it with 308k km's on the clock and everything still worked except the power antenna- it was stuck up and the reception was fine!

the ones with the 3.5L had noticeably better grunt than the older ones with the 3.3L.

Re: RPMs bounce, SES, VDC OFF, and SLIP lights on and engine stalls - Crankshaft and Camshaft Position Sensors!!!

It's odd that one of those replacement cam sensors was plastic and the other had a metal end. Both of them are the updated part number and should have the metal end type cam sensors. Maybe someone switched them out? Anyway, the metal end was added to the sensor to help protect it from some of the ...

RPMs bounce, SES, VDC OFF, and SLIP lights on and engine stalls - Crankshaft and Camshaft Position Sensors!!!

I had this experience last year on warm summer days. Driving along at whatever speed, RPMs needle on the Tachometer would drop, then bounce back up to normal with a blip of dropped engine power. This would happen once in a while on 45 min or longer drives and only sometimes. Weeks go by without any ...

Got the links from the dealer and swapped them out. Piece of cake!

Re: Loose wipers?

The linkage assemblies are only $7~10 from NissanPartsDeal.com or $11~14 list at the dealer parts counter. Seems kind of silly to go hunting for bushings.

Thank you! Unlike rockauto and amazon that only have the whole wiper linkage assembly which is overkill when it’s just the bushings that are ...

Re: Loose wipers?

Ice build up on my windshield caused my passenger side wiper to pop off the linkage. I guess that bushing on the linkage is worn.

I found the whole assembly on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-Solutions-Windshield-Transmission-Assembly/dp/B07DWFKVYC/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=AUCXYPQN5H0N&keywords ...

Check out this thread. Replacing this spiral cable assembly cured a few problems for me.

Re: Center or Third Brake Light

thanks for this update. I noticed mine had some burned out 'bulbs' and now it's totally out. I thought these were just mini bulbs until i couldn't find replacement generic bulbs online, and upon popping the trim off noticed it's actually an LED board! part number is 26590-ZS00A and isn't cheap at ...

Re:

So after a couple of weeks with both front speakers replaced, I have to call this swap a success. While it's not a life changing improvement, it is definitely a much more complete sound - no longer lacking crucial guitar and drum sounds. The "hollow" effect is gone. I guess I have it turned up a ...

Re: Who has changed their speakers?

I put in JBL GX962 in the doors with metra adapters. Everything else is the original Bose factory speakers and I’m content. The factory front door Bose had nothing in the mid and were all bass. The JBLs have less bass but helped the midrange up front a bunch. And the tweeters do play some so the ...

Dyno data would be nice. For now, behold the breathtaking Y pipe.

dual inlet non- "performance" muffler for the V6- options?

As much as I like the looks of the Magnaflow muffler that many go for that addresses the sad factory Y-pipe replacing it with 2 separate pipes entering the muffler, I don't want it for the reason that my Pathfinder is my long haul family car and I don't want the sound that comes with performance ...

Re: Towing Too Much - Transmission Fail

Towed slow for about 1.5 hours through mixed flat-ish terrain - but then we started to climb the Rockies.
Changed elevation from 500m to 1000m in about 5 minutes and just a 10 minutes off the top going uphill at about 15mph (25kmh) - the transmision jumped out, all sorts of clanging and all lights ...

Re: Airbag light started flashing

Good to hear. For the benefit of others who also may encounter this, attached is the part we had swapped. Notice that it’s a big assembly behind the steering wheel airbag and it includes the stalks! It doesn’t come separate, you can get the lights/turn signals stalk and the other stalk separately ...
