Farewell to my Pathfinder

I have had a 2006 Pathfinder since the spring of 2007 and overall it has been a good vehicle. Unfortunately with 176,000 + on the odometer and multiple looming issues I just couldn't trust it anymore, so I traded it in. I was thinking of going with a Titan, but ended up with a Tundra. Anyway, thank ...

But a jack under the control arm and jack it up a little. You shouldn't have any problems with it. Thanks. I discovered that the lower control arm hanging was what was putting it in a bind. Once I was done I reconnected the connecting rods and left the brackets loose. Then when the wheels were back...

Stablizer Under Tension?

I'm replacing my front struts on my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. The manual says to remove the stabilizer bar brackets and the upper link nut to allow the stabilizer to be moved out of the way of the lower strut bolt. When I finally got it loose it seemed to under quite a bit of tension. What I'm wonderi...

Air Conditioned Garage... Why Did I Wait So Long?

I air conditioned my garage tonight by installing a 5" ID x 2" thick latching garage door exhaust port in my insulated garage door and then running the exhaust vent for our old portable air conditioner out the port. The whole house including the garage is insulated with sprayed in foam so ...

This thread is how I found this forum. Did a search looking for replacement hatch struts and found The Nissan Path. I ordered my McMaster rear hatch and rear window struts on Friday 6/21 and they were here on Monday evening 6/24. I'm not thrilled with how they were packaged as the rods were literall...

Ouch. Any water damage to the Pathy? Nope. We got lucky. Our lot is a couple of feet higher than the surrounding lots and our house is a slab on grade but the slab is two feet off from grade so we only took 6" of water in the garage. The lot being filled and us pulling the cars as close to the...

Did you flood with tidal surge? If so I hope you took her through a car wash with a good undercarriage wash cycle soon after. That's what I did with mine and also with my wife's car. My 1994 Chevy z71 got forgot about though and now I'm paying the price in locked up bearings and universal joints.

Hello From the Big Easy

Hello from steamy bayou country. I'm actually about 25 West of New Orleans in a small bedroom community named LaPlace. I bought my 2006 Pathfinder in Summer of 2007 after the original owner decided he wanted an Armada. I had already decided I wanted a pathfinder so I jumped at the chance to buy a $3...
