don't know about your muffler rattling issue but your first problem i hope your trans is'nt slipping due to coolant contamination :(

i understand you cant bypass the timing chain; i was wondering if there was anything preventitive that could be done to not have this happen.

thanks for posting those for me coop.
forgot to mention it's easier to check for leaks/test drive etc. before you reinstall your skid plate and plastic front valance. :)

after dropping 45k on my le pathy (and just paying it off), i was way too paranoid to just bypass the rad. (although that external cooler does look plenty beefy!) i installed a b+m 70255 trans cooler in series w/ the stock aux. cooler in front of rad. worked pretty slick 'cause i did'nt have to cut ...

thanks kramer- i figured if i left trans cooler holes in bottom of rad open (after blowing out the bottom of the rad with compressed air) and the rad does fail, my engine coolant would'nt get contaminated with any residual trans fluid.

i bought a 70255 b+m trans cooler for my 2005 pathy figurin' the stock trans cooler in front of rad was'nt enough. you guys think it is? i live in michigan, could trans fluid run too cold? kramer- why do you bother plugging the cooler line holes in the rad? i thought maybe if my rad did fail i would...
