On the 'does it keep the rear window clean' question, I'm not really sure how to quantify a proper comparison. My rear window doesn't seem to get dirty any faster than the side windows, but I honestly didn't notice it being any worse in this regard before I put the spoiler on. So....???

When the air bags are pumped up it helps body roll a lot, and also just the feel of freeway lane change steering response. Instead of the rear end wallowing around for a second before following the front tires in the direction you've asked for, the rear end gets on with it smartly. I really doubt th...

The VDC doesn't seem to care, no.

The kit says always have at least 5psi in them, so the bags don't slide around inside the OEM springs and develop tears. Therefore I leave them at 10psi when I'm not towing.

I have no idea if anybody is making an aftermarket ECU, but I'll be hunting around to see what I can find.

Just got it this evening actually, and just got back from a test drive. No joy :( . The switch plugs in fine, and even lights up with the dash lights, but it has no effect and the HDC light doesn't illuminate on the dash. If we're lucky we're a reprogramed ECU away from making it work, if we're unlu...

It's my first vehicle with VDC, and it's pretty cute technology and fun to play with in the right environment. The last time I did some dirt road driving I was very impressed with how well it worked, though it's not infallible. Primarily it seemed to work best in a trailing throttle understeer situa...

Welcome to the forum AZ. Things were a little slow getting started, but over the past couple weeks traffic and postings have been picking up. We're humming along at around 40 visits per day, and Yahoo just added us to their index over the weekend. Hopefully we'll keep on growing right along, but eve...

I'll second Boogyman's perspective, something is very wrong, maybe the timing is off or the crank angle sensor is dieing or something...take it to the dealer, be sure to show them the problem directly with a test drive if at all possible, and hopefully they can scan the ECU for error codes and find ...

Hm, yeah, very good question. It'll require staring at the wiring diagram for a while, but it should be doable. Conceptually speaking, the fog power probably goes through a relay, and that fog relay gets it's power from the headlight relay, so rewiring that power leg on the fog relay to ignition swi...

On the suspension question, I would suggest the first upgrade would be the OR Edition's Rancho shocks, or do they all come with those in Aus because of the road conditions?

Yeah, the Air Lift 1000. The Rancho shocks are cool, but having to mount up an air compressor sounds like a PITA and a half to me. Also if you only increase the stiffness of your shocks without playing with the springs you can end up with a harsh flinty ride that still rolls a lot on longer corners ...

Just had this happen to me yesterday a couple times. Very steep dirt incline leeding directly to a flat pavement road. Coming off of the slope I'd stop and shift to neutral, and then switching from 4lo over to 2wd I would hear the clunk and wirr of the transfer case motor, but then it would just kee...
