Re: Went off road this weekend.

Went off road this weekend thought I would share some pics. Also anyone have any info on a good lift kit 3"? Thanks AFAIK your options are 2" or 5" for straight suspension lift. But it's been a while since I dug into this after going the OME route myself. I do know Calmini still has ...

tires

Bump for tires - it seems Tirerack and Discount don't have the Nittos or Toyos? Where are you guys seeing these tires? I bought mine at a local shop. I have 2 shops in the area that have great tire prices. check with your local shops. some of the online places aren't that great of a deal anyway. by...

I'd go with the nittos or the toyos (the open country at2 is what I have). The grabbers and the bfg (basically the same tread pattern) are not great road tires at all

motors

I've always found Nissan motors to be super tight. I had a '91 240sx with the KA24DE and it was a great motor, I had an '06 pathfinder that was great, and I had an '06 infiniti g35 that ran like a champ. the only motor I've ever had issues with was in an '02 maxima se. great car, fully loaded, every...

I ran the 285-70-17 for about 2 weeks at stock height. you definitely need to do the melt mod or you will get serous rubbing. currently, i'm lifted 2"

cheap mods

Performance wise...cheap mods would be the airbox mod with a k+n filter or a true cold air intake like a volant. The xtp intake manifold spacer. Removing the y pipe on your exhaust and utilizing a 2 in/1 out muffler to free up exhaust flow. Then a tuner or some sort. The bullydogs are great for the ...

mods

I, too, have noticed it takes a bit more to get going, but in the end I love the stance that my Pathy has. Oh, and my MPG has definitely gone down, but I think it was worth it. The intake manifold spacer changes the acceleration immensely. Best bang for your buck mod on any pathy running bigger tir...

The '07 17" rims are 7.5" wide. I believe the tires are 11.5" wide. Those dimensions are within the specs of a the 7.5" rim though. The tires look great and don't look silly at all. Here is a shot from the rear before I put the lift on http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/ii591/no...

A 285-75-16 is 32.8" and will fit a lifted or non-lifted pathy with just a little melt mod.

A must-do mod is the intake manifold spacer from www.extremetruckperformance.com. that will keep your throttle response how you like it for sure.

have you looked on 4x4parts.com? for some reason I don't remember there being a 5100 for an r51 with a 2" lift. I think you have to use the 4600
