I did a 1 1/2 inch PRG spacer lift all around, plus the Moog heavy duty stock replacement springs in the rear. And I spoke with 4x4 parts to confirm how to install, and checked to ensure that the shop had installed them correctly. It didn't work for me. Still couldn't get the rear alignment in spec.
If Toe is your issue, yes focus on the rear coil bucket control arms and put the gussets more outbound on the subframe mounting points indicated as 1 and 4 in the alignment diagram above. The picture I provided with the vicegrips holding the gussets, you can see that being worked on. Bear in mind th...
Code, Yes, your setup with Titan suspension components will be different than mine. I don't know enough about the Titan swap to know how much of the experience with my truck's suspension directly applies to yours. What actually needs to be done on your truck will depend specifically on how far out, ...
The gussets were definitely mounted off center - outwards. Think longer control arms. The mechanic determined the amount by measuring the alignment at the beginning, and using his experience to determine how much additional adjustment would be required.
Here is a picture of some of the gusset work to increase adjustability to accommodate a lift.
On the diagram, the spot marked 'IMPORTANT' is to show where adjustability was increased to be able to adjust out the positive camber on the rear wheels, to neutral or negative.
Code, The offset bushings didn't work for me. The shop spent a ton of time with them, and it didn't provide the geometry necessary to get toe and camber in spec. Maybe for a 1 inch lift, IDK. And I know it is different vehicle to vehicle. But let's say I had a different Pathy and was doing a 2 inch ...
Yes, I have the four (2 per side) that come from the factory. Problem is that the adjustability is greatly limited, and you quickly find yourself in the situation where you can't adjust camber without affecting toe and vice versa, because the 'front' rear control arm only has adjustability at one of...
Tired of scrubbing rubber off of expensive tires. I am trying something here to add adjustability. Adding eccentric bolts at additional mounting points in the rear suspension. Like the rear spring bucket where it mounts to the knuckle. REAR CONTROL ARMS: For the 'front' rear control arms, I will hav...
Well, I am now very confused. The shop working on this for me adjusted the bushings to what I was told. To be able to reduce positive camber, they should both be installed with the thinner part of the sleeve closer towards the tire. Towards the outside of the vehicle. It made things way worse accord...
I am in the process of installing these rear Rear Upper Control Arm Bushings. I spoke at length with 4x4parts about how to install these. To be able to reduce positive camber, they should both be installed with the thinner part of the sleeve closer towards the tire. Towards the outside of the vehicl...
Posted this picture in the general picture thread, but figured I would put it here too. The old logging road up to our hand made, private campsite triggered the desire for a mild lift. There is a specific area where there is a natural flow of water across the road that through erosion over time, has...
We built a remote campsite on our land in the Appalachians. 4LO to get up the old logging road to the site. On this visit we had to drag a felled tree that was across the old road with the Pathfinder, since I didn't have the chainsaw. Easy peasy.
