Re: Rear Bump Stop Options?

Update - does not fit. Due to the angles and articulation of the control arm, the sumospring would only be about 50% on the actual vehicle frame on compression. There is an option to drill holes in the control arm and mount the sumospring further inbound, but I didn't want to go that route. I don't ...

Re: Rear Bump Stop Options?

So I pulled the wheel off today, and removed the factory bump stop. 13mm deep socket, no problem. I measured the flat space on the control arm and there is a 3 in diameter area to work with. The landing spot for the bump stop on the frame is a bit larger, it is rectangularish and is about 3 1/2 by 3...

Re: The ever popular "rear alignment" issue

I don't think I ever shared a picture of how my rear suspension with the gusset work turned out. Rear Independent Suspension with Gusset work on Arms.jpg This was completed around December 2021. I recently had a squirrely rear end, the rear shocks were replaced last week. Issue addressed. Alignment ...

Re: Any/Max Lift with Bilstein 4600 Shocks?

Forgot about this post from a while back. I figured I should close the loop out with the latest information that I have that was posted in another thread in case someone comes across this thread in a search. FYI. If you have the Bilstein 4600 part number 24-197434 Rear Shocks. I reached out to Bilst...

Re: Rear Bump Stop Options?

So I think this would be the kit that would work. It is 5 in long and 4 in diameter. I measured, there is space. This kit is a 'builders kit'. I would have to procure the mounting bolts/hardware. I would probably need to trim one of the 5 'bumps' off if I didn't want it pre-loaded. Trimming one bump...

Rear Bump Stop Options?

Rear Bump Stop.jpg Anyone look at replacing the rear bump stop with something like a SumoSpring bump stop replacement from a 4Runner? I know a lot of people use air bags, but I wanted to explore other options. Seems like a SumoSpring like the SSF-604-40 could replace the rear factory bump stop on a...

Re: Has anyone done 4600 Bilstein front and rear?

FYI. If you have the Bilstein 4600 part number 24-197434 Rear Shocks. I reached out to Bilstein to get the collapsed and extended lengths. Several 4x4 parts sites say that they can support up to a 2 inch lift. I have 1 1/2 inch PRG spacer lift front and rear, and Moog 81119 rear springs on mine. In ...

Re: Rear End Feels Unstable

On my last trip, the rear end on mine felt unstable. Especially noticeable at highway speeds when going over bumps or uneven highway sections. After a while, I determined that it felt like the shocks were dampening at different rates on each side in the back. I just changed my rear shocks with new o...

Re: Mounting rooftop tent

I mounted my RTT on the factory roof rack and roof rails. No problem. Quite strong for a factory setup. Yes, there was a document (was a link here in thenissanpath) that verified the 220 lb dynamic weight rating of the roof rack, but I could no longer find it available online. Even if you look at th...

Re: 2005 R51 Passenger Front Fold Down Sun Visor

I tried the zip tie fix, but it eventually loosened up again over time on me. So I used superglue to repair where the plastic tab had cracked / separated. I also noticed that three sides have 'walls' around the plastic tabs. The one side that is open (has no wall) is the weak link and that is the ta...

Re: SIEMED Fog Lights - I like them

No modifications whatsoever. Completely plug and play. There are three mounting screws per fog light on the Pathfinder. They are a torx bit, can't recall the size. I just turn the steering wheel inwards for whichever side I was working on, removed a few screws holding the fender liner in place, pull...

SIEMED Fog Lights - I like them

My vehicle had the original fog lights. After 11 years, the lenses are a bit cloudy from the inside. I came across these and decided to give them a try. https://www.amazon.com/Generation-Retrofit-Upgraded-Frontier-Crosstrek/dp/B08FZBL9NT/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2EFLH6O4QQ979&keywords=New%2BGeneration%2B...

Re: The ever popular "rear alignment" issue

Your plan makes sense. And yes, we added gussets and additional adjustment at the subframe mount, and on the coil buckets. And honestly it turned out to be unnecessary to do both for the amount of lift I have. We could have gotten away with just doing the coil buckets, and working with the level of ...
