Just a quick update to confirm that 3 months later, the transmission is still running well.

Only 200 miles to go until I hit 80,000 miles (when the extended warranty expires) so fingers crossed that this repair lasts!

I had the same issue ... it happened a few months ago as I drove through a snow bank left behind by a snow plough after a winter storm (I know... I know... but it was too much fun to pass up.) I have clearly been putting off this repair for quite a while but today, I took off the front wheels to rep...

Good thing indeed, JAHBLESSINGS. The dealership replaced the radiator today and flushed the tranny twice. They dropped the tranny pan the first time to check for "residue" and apparently found none. They told me that they flushed the transmission twice: the first time is to clean out any p...

Thanks smj999smj. That sounds right. The dealership called me back today as they finally heard back from the Nissan mothership who confirmed Nissan would cover the vehicle under the extended warranty. The radiator replacement is scheduled for mid next week at which time they will drop the pan from t...

2009 Pathfinder - confirmed radiator AT cooler tube leak

My transmission has been shuddering for a few weeks and recently slipped a couple of times on takeoff. As I was aware of the Nissan transmission issue, I checked the coolant overflow tank and sure enough, it looked like it was contaminated. I took the car in to the dealership this morning as it has ...

Yes, I thought of that but as the vehicle comes up to normal operating temp quickly, that doesn't appear to be the issue. But I guess I don't have much to lose by checking the thermostat.

That said, I would still be interested to know if there is a bleed valve in the cooling system.

Burping 2009 Pathfinder?

I seem to have the same problem with air in the cooling system and no / or very little heat. Checked all systems, tried burping the pathy twice (with raised front end method) and even flushed the system (followed by burping again) but to no avail. I note the other method (the one posted in thenewnx ...

Installed heated mirrors on 09 Pathfinder

I just finished this mod. It was a fair bit more work (e.g. time) than I first expected but the final outcome is good. The mirrors work quite well. I followed the mod posting available for the Nissan Frontier (see here: http://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f10/how-install-heated-mirrors-24476/ ) I ran...

Pathfinder crossbars & wind noise

Ok, I'll admit it... I also installed crossbars on my '09 Pathy and noticed a huge difference in wind noise. Turns out I had installed mine the wrong way. I switched them around and while there is a bit more wind noise than w/o the crossbars, installing them the right way was a huge improvement. Any...

Great posts - thank you!

Just a quick note to let you know that despite this posting being nearly 5 years old, it was extremely useful to me. I did both installs using this post (trailer brakes and air lift / bags). I installed the 7 pin and brake controller last spring to tow a 4200 lbs camping trailer. Simply install - es...

Towing with V6

My towing experience is nearly identical to Alan's. I too tow an RV with V6 Pathy '09 SE. Fully loaded, the 22' trailer is probably just over 5,500 lbs. I always tow with OD off as the tranny hunts too much otherwise. I tried towing in OD on a reasonably flat section once and my gas mileage was actu...
