Welcome to the board. It's definitely made for trips to anywhere. As soon as my little guy is old enough. We are really going to explore the Pathy's abilities.

Why don't you stick with the silverstars. Then they output will match. Should be the same color.

That's why I print it off and bring it with me to the dealer. I had to do it with the intake, because the shop people were idiots or thought I was. I hate when they think we don't know anything about the car. Felt like punching him for the attitude.

Just a little helpful link

I was just thinking that people on here may not know about certain sites to get TSB and recall info. http://www.nissanhelp.com/Models/2006/Pathfinder/Description.htm This will help people with annoyances and some serious problems. I didn't know where else to put this, since you can also see past mod...

You can't see the warping to bad. It's very slight and 99% of the people wouldn't even see it if you didn't tell them. Have either of you noticed if it's helping keep the rear window clear? I know this winter will be the true test. I would like to put one on the wife's if it works.

Intakes aren't the answer for fuel economy. They tend to just give more of a sucking sound with very little if any horsepower gain. I know K&N make an intake, which was introduced recently. I haven't seen any spacers or intake manifolds. The Pathy isn't getting much attention from the after mark...

I would definitely keep it locked up while going out. Although going into Outback John Wayne style would be pretty cool. Definitely get some looks. Why don't you look for a small wall safe and have somebody weld a couple bolts on the back to mount to the floor. That's the only thing I can think of r...

What about something like this http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv-m ... 2-1141.htm

It should be fairly stable. Plus it won't ding the paint. I'm sure there is a trailer dealer around you that has them.

Well we could always distract security #2 with a squeaky toy. #1 might be a little nag. Keep the project pics coming.

Sounds like a nice Pathy. Too bad we couldn't get the diesel here. Only one engine and my wife doesn't use all that power anyway. Good luck with the new ride.

It holds 220lbs (100kg). I don't know why you were worrying about a couple of 30 pound kayaks. Now if you had a basket I would see why you would want to know the limit to pile stuff in there. I got this from the manual on nissan's website. http://www.nissanusa.com/pdf/techpubs/pathfinder/2006/2006-N...

That looks pretty solid. Hope you have a good shop to build it. Reminds me of an old man emu bumper.

I always fill with about 5.5 quarts with a new filter. It comes out right everytime. If you are unsure, fill with 5 then start the engine and run it for a minute or two. Then check again. It should be about a half quart down.

Can't wait to see it all together. Be sure to take lots of pics along the way. Any helpful hints, bumps in the road that you come across will be much appreciated.
