Get EBC green stuff pads and sport slot rotors. They will shorten your stopping distance. Can't attest for how long they will last, since I traded it in 10 months later. Just be sure to follow the break in procedure and they should last a long time.

I had to redo every heat shield clamp on my Pathy, before I got rid of it. The salt on the roads here ate through all the factory clamps.

I went through a couple winters with them and also delt with mud and was fine with both. Just drive smart and don't overdrive the tires. A few inches of snow at 45 is no problem at 55 you start to get squirrelly.

EBC are really nice. I changed mine out with the green stuff pads and sport slot rotors and they worked excellent. You have to give them a 1500 mile break-in. After that you are good to go. It's easy enough to do by yourself.

I had them on my old grand cherokee and they were great. I lost 1 mpg, but never had any trouble with them.

The ride is a little softer, since I have taller tires, plus the suspension isn't as stiff. The nose dips a little when braking. As far as being whippy, I haven't had to make any sudden maneuvers to test. The daily drive seems fine and it's easier to pull into parking spots and turn. Most of my driv...

Thanks for the replies. I am enjoying it. I wanted something smaller since we have the Sienna for carting the boys around. Then when they get a few years older, me and the boys will take the X camping and fishing. Have to have time to customize the X slowly. So far it seems to have a big red X on it...

Thanks for the replies. So far it's been great. I am still getting adjusted to it. I haven't rolled on taller tires in a while, but it feels great. The engine seems so quiet, no roar like the Pathy. I know it's the same, I guess the programming and the Pathy was an auto, so maybe that was why it was...

Goodbye Pathy Hello Xterra

Well after all the maintenance I put into the Pathy, I had enough. The next thing would have been the rear AC and I wasn't about to pay for that and it's beyond what I can do myself. So I just traded it in today for an Xterra Offroad with a stick. The ride is not as firm, but it's so much quieter. I...

And, of course, exhaust shields are not covered by warranty. What a joke. If it came on the car and it's not a "wear and tear" item, it should be covered. Exactly! Those of us that live in the salt belt, have to replace all the rusted bands and keep it from sounding like a bucket of bolts...

You can change the sender yourself. It's helpful to have a buddy, since the tank is long, but I completed the job with a few jacks. I just ran it down, so it was almost empty and it wasn't too bad. Courtesy has the kit, which is the sender and o-ring.
