rear catalyst obstructed what my options?

Hi I wanted to get an advice from someone who had similar problem. My bay 1 (passenger side) upstream 3-way catalyst broke up inside and chunks of catalytic substrate went into the downstream catalyst (they call it front exhaust tube I think). I was able to shake out of the downstream catalyst all o...

Re: Catalytic converter removal

Answering my own question, yes I did pull out passenger side catalytic converter attached to the rear catalytic (front exhaust tube). I removed rubber exhaust mounting and pushed muffler up as much as it would go. Then I disconnected A/F and heated O2 sensor harness. Then I removed A/F sensor from t...

Catalytic converter removal

Hello, A quick question. Is it possible to remove right passenger side catalytic converter together with right front exhaust tube? If catalytic is still attached to the front exhaust tube is it possible to disconnect exhaust tube from main muffler and then remove the assembly by pulling it towards t...

It's hard to determine catalyst efficiency by scan tool testing as there are a lot of variables. The general logic of catalyst efficiency is the observance of the rich-lean cycling frequency of the oxygen sensors; the rear sensor should have about half the cycling frequency of the front. If the fro...

Nissan sells a lot of parts as an "assembly." It is part of their "modular" concept that started with the 2002 Altima. It cuts down the number of individual parts they need to stock. $60 doesn't sound all that bad considering you are getting 13 individual parts combined in the a...

mine (both 2005s) are still flexible & pliable :)
IDK why they deteriorated. Maybe my engine is vibrating more than it should? I think mechanics mentioned something about bad engine mounts awhile ago.

Re: Air Intake - Duct Assembly rubber hoses replacement

I'd be surprised if they are available aftermarket, as they are probably not in high demand. How much is the new assembly from the dealer? Dealer wants $60 for the new assembly. It can be found on ebay for $47. I am wondering there must be a good reason Nissan wants me to replace perfectly good pla...

Air Intake - Duct Assembly rubber hoses replacement

Hello, Did anyone have to replace rubber hoses on Pathfinder 2006 that connect air duct to throttle body on the left and to air filter box on the right? Mine are all cracked and broken. Nissan does not sell rubber hoses separately, but wants me to buy air duct assembly with the hoses part 16576EA200...

Hi SMJ, I've had a nagging P0430 code for the last 6 months or so. In your experience, can this be caused by a bad secondary O2 sensor? Only reason I ask is that when I check the voltages at 2000rpm, the voltage on the rear O2 sensor on the one side is all over the place, from 0.1v to 0.9v, but the...

Is it scanning tool or my oxygen sensors are bad?

Nissan pathfinder le 2006 with P0300 detected and suspected bay 1 catalyst bad. Please check out these videos of O2 sensors being scanned with Delphi DS150E scanner tool. I am wondering if anybody worked with this tool. Is it too slow to refresh to catch O2 sensors switching, or my O2 sensors are no...

They must have replaced your radiator or had it removed. The grey harness connector is for the electric fan; you can actually see the female end of the connector in your picture, halfway down the side of your radiator. The other, I believe, goes to a switch on the A/C high pressure line in that gen...

Hello,

It it possible to disconnect / disable ABS actuator on 2006 Path LE and operate vehicle without it?

Also is there abs actuator rebuild kit? Is it possible to repair ABS actuator without replacing this very expensive part entirely?

Thank you for answering my questions.

On 2006 LE path I had both front drive and rear drive shaft u-joints replaced by dealer at 93000. Experienced same symptoms especially uphill and under load.

I had this problem on my path 2006 v6 113 miles.

Dealer was looking into this for two days. Then they told me they did not know and I did not need 4wd lo. Then they found broken fuse and cleaned wring and the problem was gone.
