Also really quick when it is in 2H the shift lever looks like it could be pushed further forward but it cannot... in 4L the lever is WAY back.... just figured id through that out there.

i dunno if im understanding u guys but the unit can only be shifter down one time. once u pull down to 4L it doesnt shift any lower. I have never been able to push the shifter forward past N gear. If it was in neutral you would not be able to drive the truck.... youj are in 2H and shifting down int...

Okay so maybe my pathfinder is different than yours but... all the way forward is 2h first click back is 4h, second click back is neutral and third back is 4l. So not sure what you are talking about pushing the lever forward for 4l... we are talking about a 97 pathfinder

PM answered. I'm still assuming you are currently in 2H. with the transfer case in the N possiton, your truck WILL NOT move. Green light on the dash = 4H. Place your transmission into neutral and then you should be able to pull transfer case back into the neutral position and back to 4L. if you are ...
