ok I checked both wires going to each injector with a test light and the ignition on.... no power at the injectors.... when I removed the connection and checked the connection there was power at the connector but it is not going to the other side of the connector at the injectors themselves... UPDATE:
I put the pump on and I have adequate pressure at the carb. If I pour gas in the carb it starts and runs. For some reason the gas is getting to the carb but apparently not into the carb… I think I need to clean the carb? Any thoughts? I really don’t want to take that thing off…. Are there ...

you are correct I hadn't thought about the rubbing... and of course sparks... I have tried to find another but I can only find the pump and not the cover.. you are suppose to replace the pump only and keep the cover.... I am stuck now.....
