5.6 Swap?

My 4.0 needs the T-Chain. Also exhaust is smoking a bit blue now. I bought it with the K&N cold air intake, my feeling is they wear the engine out quicker. I've about 190K now and read the 5.6 swaps..? I see there is a harness available. Any videos or write-ups on this anywhere? Is the stock sus...

Where to get Timing Chain kit?

Hi, I have 186K on my 2005. It rattles on startup but goes away when warm. I parked it to fix. I see kits on Amazon but I wonder about the quality? Also, given the mileage and I plan on keeping it, should I get a more comprehensive kit? I have the special tools now and will get a FSM I think there's...

As far as the air bags, they can be installed by taking nothing else off (although, removing the rear wheels makes it a bit easier).
Thank you!

Frozen Camber Bolts and gettting new shocks

Hi, I spent some time reading the last couple days but can't stay on the computer too long for I get really bad migraines and my darn head is already killing. I'm going to do the front/rear Rancho 2" lift strut/shocks. Do I also need the coil spacer? Rear alignment bolts are all seized. Is it j...

Same problem here. I disagree with it being normal to turn , slow down or back up to get it to go from 4hi to 2hi. My 05 PF had no problem going in and out of 4hi at speeds up to 60mph until recently. Now, I have to slow down and turn or hit a bump while turned. So, if there are more ideas what this...

Fuel Filter Location?

I got a tankfull of free gas. I got 13mpg down from 17 average. Now, my mpg stays at 13mpg even though I ran 2 tanks of Premium through it after that. I'm wondering if the fuel filter might have picked up crud from the free gas. I don't see any pics or a location of the fuel filter, all I see are di...

To check the fluid I look at it between the marks when it's warm, the engine is running and the vehicle is level.

Thanks,

Slushy Shifts when Warm

Any ideas? Ever had this happen? 2005. Shifts great when engine/tranny isn't warmed up, but as soon as things operating temps the shifts hesitate and then slide into the next gear. It seems in the past on other vehicles I've owned when I was low on fluid the slushy shifts would be when the tranny wa...

Cool, thanks. I bought the Castrol Multi Import today. I was worried it was too generic. I only need a little bit to make up for what was lost during the bypass. Most Nissans up to 2010 use regular green anti-freeze; in 2010, Nissan started to use blue "long-life" antifreeze in some of the...

I have 99K on mine. How often should the chains be replaced? Going on a long trip in a few weeks from Columbus Ohio to Mount Rushmore, Devil's Tower and some other cool stuff. I'm excited to take the new Pathfinder so if I should do this first let me know, thanks.

Call Nissan North in Columbus Ohio. The service department read off all the warranty work previously done to my '05 before I bought it from a private owner. I found trans/rad, fuel sender, ECU and a few other things had been warranted. If it was done under another owner, they probably won't give tha...

What Type of Fluids?

Hi,

Radiator is a little low. What type of fluid?
Auto Trans needs a little. Same question.

Previous owner had it always serviced at the dealer if that helps answer.

Thank you,
Sean
