4lo would help if you think the load is too heavy to pull up that hill in 4hi. You have the 4wd and 4lo, might as well use it. Beyond it being a slow climb, there's no real disadvantage to locking it in.

Here's my post where I installed Hella 500 BlackMagigs in the front grille: http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=6301&highlight=hella I have them wired to go on with the high beams. After taking a direct rock hit to one of the Hellas last year, I swapped them out with IPF 968DCG which ar...

Didn't see that repair listed on the site. I know some folks had said the dealer only charged them $2,000 or so and others were $4,000-$5,000. Just seems like a huge spread for what was described as the same repair.

QX56 Timing Chain Issues

Ran across some discussion about the QX56 and apparently the '11-'13 has a major problem with the timing chain similar to some of the Pathfinders. Some people are being charged $4,000+ for the repair if it's out of warranty. This is the first I had heard of it but just wondering how it could cost so...

I had to have mine replaced and it was around $600. That was an aftermarket bumper cover and paint. Might not be worth it to bother fixing if it needs any real repairs because the labor will be more than a new bumper. I think the cover was only $250.

Yes, original chain. I don't have any suspect noises from the chain/guides either.

There's a difference between 87 and 91+, although it's pretty subtle unless you're into the go pedal hard and often. I have a couple very steep hills on my commute that I can just pull in 5th gear at 60mph when running premium but need a downshift with regular fuel. There are times when it's super h...

Airbags FTW. Shocks help with rebound but the airbags help with compression/squat.

I'm not sure if the color really tells you much. Even at 10k mile intervals, the oil is always amber/golden brown on my PF. You could easily have high wear metals and not know it based on color. Usually, if the color changes due to a problem, it's from other contaminants like silicon (dirt) or an ad...

They probably won't bump you up that much at once just for their liability purposes. This engine is rated for 7,500 intervals on conventional oil and that's what I've done since day one but always used synthetic. Once my warranty was up I did 8k and then to 10k. I could easily go higher based on the...

Anyone else sample their oil?

I just got my latest results and honestly can't believe how consistently clean this engine runs at 10k mile intervals. Just wondering if other are seeing similar results.

You should be fine with Copper as long as you're aware of the shorter life.

I've historically made it safety to 45k miles on fronts and I'm pretty hard on them. But if you do a lot of city driving you'll probably go shorter no matter what. You can eye-ball the outside pad through the wheel openings pretty easily. Shouldn't need more than a quick glance while rotating your t...

Highly doubtful. The modules usually run separate, although I've seen some systems able to reprogram the OEM remote to work with it. Need to research the aftermarket system and find someone that knows how it works.
