have you tried disassembling & cleaning the mechanism?
it may have something (debris) stuck in it (which wouldn't be covered by warranty anyway)
looking at it, I can't figure out how to take it apart.

I pull ~5,000LB with my Path every other weekend. through mountain also. mine is an open car trailer, I have no problem with it. but I've also tried some same weight enclosed trailer, it is a handful. imo, I would not tow an enclosed 5,500LB trailer with my Path at such high altitude and in mountain...

I tow 5,000LB, but it is an open trailer, which is much easier than enclosed trailer. I am guessing 4,000LB is what I would tow max for an enclosed trailer in mountain region. I would also add a fan for transmission cooler, or better yet, add a bigger cooler.

yes, you do want trans fluid temp to be over 100F at minimum. so you would think for those in sub zero weather, bypass wouldn't be a good idea. But if the weather is sub zero, thermostat would never open, thus radiator would never come up to temp, thus bypass would not of made a difference in temp. ...

I plan to do another transmission flush soon. I've installed a trans temp gauge recently, surprised to learn I run as high as 260F at low speed (10-20MPH) towing uphill. I want to try synthetic fluid. called Redline, they recommended their D4 ATF. anybody know how to do a complete flush ? not just d...

Just got in from bypassing and used bellwilliams idea. Didnt cut any hoses and used a few plastic zip ties to sucure both of the newly routed hoses. Just a note though if some may be confused. There is not a hose that goes to the engine block. The two lines from the tranny are mounted by the oil fi...

Here is a dumb question: how do you know which is the hose that flows into the transmission cooler, and which is the one that flows out ?

obviously you want the temp sender on the hot side.

The fan should not make a difference at 60mph. The purpose of the fan is to generate airflow when no airflow is present (vehicle stopped or traveling slow). At 60mph, the trans cooler is already getting the maximum amount of airflow across it. are you saying I shouldn't turn on the fan, even if I w...
