I have a high pitched squeek when hitting just the right bumps ... noticed it on an old logging road some friends live down ....dont hear it on the street unless its just the right bump ... I figure there is no way I will ever find it , and no way a dealer will find it ... someday Ill look into it ...

I've got aluminum on my '05 2WD, and have seen pictures of steel driveshafts, making me wonder if Nissan changed the design after '05. I never put it together that it is 2WD vs. 4WD. I wonder if the length from the transmission to rear differential is the same, if the aluminum and steel shafts are i...

I used to have a metallic rattle in my dash, it sounded almost like it was coming from behind the Bose head unit. I had heard theories that it was an AC line tapping against the firewall, but nothing was ever confirmed. It was the hardest thing to duplicate, and every time I took it to Nissan I coul...

Great guys, thanks for all the replies, will try a few this weekend and give a report.. As for Stevie.. mine? Soooo gets to me... MGJ Yeah, I'm usually pretty obsessive about those things too...but all you can do is make one step at a time. Actually I can't say that I honestly haven't thought about...

Mine does the same flutter on the driver's side, but I try not to let it get to me. Haven't done anything with adjustments yet.

I jacked up my rear with the truck on the ground...can't remember if I pulled my spare off, but I probably did. Although Airlift recommended using the T connection, I kept my bags separate. My primary goal was to improve handling and body roll, and my thinking was that a common air line would just l...

Interesting, the Firestone kit looks almost identical to the Airlift. I did put the Kia Sorento Airlift 1000 kit in my '05 RWD, by the way. It's been great, really tightened up the handling. I generally keep them at 20 PSI, unless towing or making a heavy haul, but that's rare. Either this or the Fi...

We use a K&N filter in our '07 PF. It was $40 for the filter and then we got the oil/cleaning spray for $7. They suggest cleaning the filter at the standard cotton/paper replacement intervals as your stock filter unless you drive on dirt roads or in dirty conditions in excess then to do it more...

I only use Nissan OEM filters, and I run Mobil 1, 5W-30. Again, I have the low pressure at idle, but rock solid around mid-range at any RPM above idle.

I'd say it's slightly lower at idle than in the pictures...I'll have to pay more attention tomorrow. The pictures show about what I see on a warm engine above idle.

I see something similar to AMR on my '05. On startup, the oil pressure responds with RPM until the engine is warmed pretty good. After the engine is warm, oil pressure is pretty solid at about 1/2 scale, except at dead idle, when the pressure drops to about 1/3 scale. It's done this since day 1, so ...

Stick with the thermostatic mechanical fan. By going electric you're likely going to lose efficiency. In converting mechanical power to electric power you'll have conversion losses in your alternator, then more conversion losses when you convert the electric power back to mechanical in the fan's mot...

It seems hard to believe that you'd ever recoup the costs of the hitch/bumper modifications with the fuel economy gains of only 50 lb. If you're racing that weight is substantial, but I doubt you'll see much gain in efficiency. I'd focus on aerodynamic or engine airflow modifications first.

I highly recommend Goodyear Fortera Tripletred, although they're special order due to no one wanting to pay for the premium tire. I just put the new set on about 1000 miles ago, and they are amazing. Great dry traction, and they slice through standing water unbelievably. Handling of the truck is pro...

Nissan has always been so way behind in fuel economy it's not even funny, so any progress in that area would be more than welcome. Not sure I agree with this, when I was looking at '05s, the Pathfinder posted the best fuel economy numbers out of the Explorer, Trailblazer, Durango, and Grand Cherokee.
