Mine got noticeably weaker after 3.5 years, replaced it proactively to avoid getting stranded.

Just a general comment, changing the rear shocks might improve ride stiffness but won't reduce sagging. If you're having sagging issues even with the Airlift 1000 maybe you want to consider reducing the tongue weight on your trailer, if you can adjust your axle position or boat position. Sorry I don...

You really have to watch some of these shops...last time I had my tires rotated at a reputable tire establishment, they torqued my lugs to over 150 ft-lb (maxed out my torque wrench!), which definitely could have caused rotor warpage. I always check and retorque my lug nuts after I get home, for thi...

It does last longer than Armor All though...about a couple of months instead of a couple of weeks.

If I were to call something bland it would be a Ford Explorer or a Chevy Tahoe or TrailBlazer. From great looks and capability to peppy engine to all of the little engineering gems integrated into this truck, the Pathfinder is anything but lacking in character. You said it yourself, it's just you, b...

I've also had luck bringing it back to life by using back to black from mothers or similar product... I second (and highly recommend) Mothers Back to Black. I can't imagine that painting that plastic piece will hold up to the sun or the elements, you'll probably be sorry. Back to Black restored my ...

Go with what the GPS says. The vehicle's speedometer relies on assumptions of tire diameter in calculating a linear distance from number of tire revolutions. Treadwear and tire pressure could contribute to error. I've observed the opposite of Mark, on every vehicle I've seen the speedometer reads 2-...

No they didn't, just the airbag. I'm going to try to reuse the existing tubes and clamps...probably not too hard to find at a hardware store if I need to.

Thumbs up to Airlift for good warranty replacement - called them on Monday and by Friday I had received a new airbag to replace the leaking one. They said that since most of the time you have to cut the bags to get them out that they don't require you to send the old one back, just pay for shipping ...

So almost two years after installing the Airlift kit the right side airbag is leaking, loses 20 PSI in a day or so. Looks like it's from the seam in the middle where the two halves join, right where the coil spring was rubbing on it. Pulled it out and Monday I'll call their warranty dept, hopefully ...

I had noticed something similar on my '05 SE 2WD, a short duration vibration, lasting for only ~1-2 seconds right after putting it in drive or reverse with a cold engine. I'm using the past tense, because it seemed to have gone away over the past few months as the temperature increased. I'll see if ...

I had no use for my factory fog lights so I swapped them out with projector low-beam modules to serve as driving lights. They more than double the amount of usable light on the road, well worth it.

Sweet. Nice to see someone getting creative and not shelling out big $ for something on the mass market. As far as the zip ties and white PVC go, who cares? Not like you're going to be showing off the engine at a show. CAI on a Pathfinder is purely functional and I really wouldn't care how it looks ...

$170 for an upgrade that most people will barely notice if at all? This does nothing to enhance the function or performance of the vehicle, and even being a very observant Pathy owner I'm not sure I'd even notice. You've gotta have $ to burn if you're considering this, I must be living in a differen...

I do 6K but I use Mobile1 full synthetic ditto. I had an oil analysis done on Mobil 1 5W-30 after 6,000 miles (truck had 17k at the time) and it showed that it could probably go another few thousand, based on the TBN. Now I have 53k miles, and I'll probably take my next oil change to 7,500 and do a...
