control arm bolt gone - worth fixing?

Somehow I have lost one of the big bolts on the control arm on the LF of my 87 Pathfinder. I took it to my mechanic and he wouldn't put a new bolt in it because if the threading is all goobered up through the control arm (WHICH IT IS) it more than likely is in the frame as well, and doesn't want to ...

I had a similar problem with the hiccups that eventually included my Pathfinder dying at stop lights and refusing to start occasionally. I thought it was a fuel problem at first but came to find out it was a loose connection going to a ground strap for the ignition. Unfortunately it was pretty hard ...

Hello I recently bought an 87 Pathy on Craigslist and really am enjoying being a Pathfinder owner. It has 150,000 on a 4cyl engine, manual transmission, 31" Bridgestone Duelers. Very fun to drive, have had to do some light maintenance on it, but now it runs great and hopefully will for a long time ...
