finally done with it.

Well, after numerous unresolved issues with my r51, i finally was able to pawn it off onto someone else today. Getting a real SUV. An American one. See you suckers in the scrapyard.

I guarantee your radiator has broken down internally, mixed coolant with the trans fluid and is now frying your trans. Numerous documented cases of this. Hope you have an extended warranty. Dont trust Nissan to tell you everything is fine. This is the major downfall of the first 2 years for the R51....

As noted, use Wurth copper on back of pads. But also on the sliding contacts on both ends of the pads and clean any pad/caliper/bracket contact surfaces with a wire brush and lube them. Also, any rust lip on the rotors can make a grinding noise when installing new pads due to slight differences in p...

Had the same problem, downloaded the TSB. Did the repair. Still had the same noise. Turns out my foward left cat was disintegrating. By the time i found out, the cat had totally melted, passed into and clogged the pipe. I towed it to my workplace, ( i am a tech for another major Japanese brand), rem...

Could be only one of two things. The recalled ECM relay(under recall), which controls the trans, spark and many other parts that will give you a 'misfire' condition. Or the dreaded trans cooler/radiator breakdown. The trans is very picky about the condition of the fluid. It will start to act up befo...

me too!!!

Just started having fuel level sending unit problems also. I'll just keep it full, set the trip meter and hope for the best. I am finding my '05 to be a total piece of junk. Cooler failure at about 80K, cat. conv. failure at 102K, rear window motor failure at 70K, u-joint failure at 102K, mysterious...

bad noise in front when turning

I am getting a very loud thud(clunk) from the front right when making a slow left turn. I mean SLOW. like when turning to prepare to back into my drive. Once I do start backing down driveway, hit the brakes, I get another 'thud'. I can feel it in the right front floorboard. I racked the vehicle at m...

Just get the code scanned. Mine has had the light on for a malfunctioning cat. conv. (not blocked) for 20k miles. Runs fine except for the trans issue. I have flushed trans and minimized damage. Just one of those issues with a first year re-design. As for the 'bashing'. I work at a toyota dealership...

05 Pathy torque shudder

Seems there are some questioning the reliability of the 05/06 pathy's radiator. THEY ARE DEFECTIVE! I flushed trans 1K miles ago for 2nd time (have 99K on it). Used Matic S ($10.82/qt). Just noticed slight lock-up shudder. Drained fluid. Found it to be milky brown in color. Bypassed radiator cooler ...
