All, I purchased from MICHIGAN TRUCK SPRING and including postage to Australia was under $150 AUS including postage...compared to over $300 AUS locally! Still in the box but hopefully will get time in the next week or so to fit them. Happy to recommend MICHIGAN TRUCK SPRING based on my experience. P...

Hi All, Just to conclude this now that the car was fixed today:- The diesel injection specialist here in Adelaide ran a diagnostic check that lead him to discover that I had knocked off a vacuum hose that is connected to the turbo and helps control the ECU. Not sure of the exact purpose of the hose,...

To bleed the air out of the filter after a change, there is a plunger / pump on top of the filter...but this did not appear to work. The only way I could get the car to start was to attach a pela oil removal suction pump onto the out flow of the filter assembly and suck diesel through. The main symp...

Hi Terry, Blocked diesel filter was my first thought, so have already put the old one back on. Still no joy. Paul (the first time I reverse up, out of the drive each morning, its at its worst, but after a run, the reverse up hill is not quite so bad - this makes me think its a pressure or flow issue...

Thanks for the reply. I purchased the car second hand so not sure about its full history, but I have never had the transmission fully flushed...but at the last oil change about 6000 miles ago, did the drain and refill, the same as this time. Will double check the fluid level, but since tried to meas...

Thanks for initial reply. Nissan sell both M/T and A/T models in Australia. i have the Auto model. I am not sure what servicing the car had before I purchased it but since it now has 100,000km's, I want to change every oil on the car for my own peace of mind. Since this will be the first time that I...

Copper crush washer size?

Hi all, Here in Australia, the dealership wants to charge $4 for the oil sump crush washer!!! Out of principle, I'm not prepared to pay that but none of the auto shops can tell me what size of washer I need. Does anyone have a spare genuine washer lying around that they could measure for me? Also, a...

Do I need to change the speakers?

Hi All, Have searched previous posts, but still confused. I am wanting to replace the standard Clarion head unit that came with my 2005 R51 Australian model (model CN01A written on front) or (model PN-2371N written on back of unit). Anyway, I have read that the standard speakers are 2 ohm whilst mos...

OBD plug location?

Hi Guys, I am thinking of buying a lead to connect my laptop to the car to check some basic OBD settings. (Never done anything like this before, but think that it would be better to try before any problems occur, so that I am better prepared if a fault light comes on in the future) Anyway, where is ...

Matic J v matic S

Hi All, Just completed another oil and filter change, and took advice of this forum to do the gearbox cooler bypass - very easy as everyone has said. (took longer to remove the skid plate than do the bypass). Also did a drain and refill to the auto box, using Matic J as supplied by the dealer, but n...
