Yes, people are referring to the rear DVD player--which comes in a package with other upgrades, depending upon the model.

I asked the same question and the author provided the answer--the wire is necessary to send speed information to the GPS. If you cut it (and leave it off) your GPS will eventually lose track of your location.

Wasn't in my 2010 either. However, the first aid kit itself really isn't near as important as the knowledge you carry in your head. I did not get one with my 2010 Pathfinder. I went to the dealer to ask for one, and they did not have one in stock, but will order one for an Xtera and let me see if it fits.
