I had the exact same thing happen on my 2001 Pathfinder a few years back. Exactly 25 seconds of idling at a stop light causes the RPMs to drop and stalls the engine unless you give it some gas. Interestingly, everyone I have heard of with this problem has a K&N air filter in it. The problem is t...

No, I currently don't have any other pictures of that aluminum bracket. I'll have to take a better pic and post it. It isn't actually mounted to the tail gate finisher. It's mounted to the tail gate itself. There are 2 screws holding it on from the inside of the tail gate. I suppose you could double...

From the head unit, I went down through the center console (past the gear shift), under the console storage compartment and down through the carpet on the passenger side. This puts it right under the front passenger seat. From here, I went straight across to run it under the plastic step rails on th...

Well, it does really suck to get that wire through the little channel beside the window. But to get access to tap into the rear light, you need to take off that luggage panel (not a lot of fun either). Once you are that far, it is only a 10 minute job to sneak the wire through the carpet and under t...

Wireless would be nice and save quite a bit of work. But to get power, you would still need to tie into the reverse light. That is the hardest part of the cable run.

I talked about it a little bit in the thread I started here: http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=3391 Basically the wiring took a LONG time. To get the rear hatch interior panel off, follow these instructions (for an '09 Pathfinder anyways): Open and flip up the glass window. Open the hatch...

Crossbar "Kit" Part Numbers Here

I know there have been other threads with some crossbar info but it took me a fair bit of decoding and phone calls before I got the part numbers right. The numbers that other people were using have been superceded by these updated numbers. These are the parts I purchased for my '09 Pathfinder. Qty P...

@scarelli No I don't have intelligent key (unfortunately). As far as I understand, this is how those things work: you press the button on the door handle, the vehicle puts out a bunch of power to antennas placed strategically all over the vehicle, the signal gets picked up by the (battery-less) inte...

Anything is fixable. Just depends how much time and effort you want to put into it . If you reversed + and -, then likely you destroyed something in the power supply circuitry in the DVD player. The first thing to do would be to take it apart and see if you can find anything that looks burnt u...

How I Added a Reverse Camera to my Factory 7" Screen

First off, I realize that other people have added backup cameras to their factory screens by adding a $250-$300 video converter purchased from various web sites. What I've done is something different (and cheaper). I added the feature without paying a dime - other than the money spent on the actual ...

Check the parts drawing here: http://www.courtesyparts.com/pathfinder-parts-r51-2005-2010/genuine-nissan-parts/body-electrical/253-electrical-unit/-c-6833_6834_6869_6875.html As far as I can tell, the horn module (Part Num: 25620-R51001 ) is $50.21. If you can do some troubleshooting on your horn to...

In the next few days, I'm going to post a write-up on how I added a rear camera to mine without using one of those switching devices (saved myself $280). It still shows up on the factory 7" screen.

It was quite easy to do but if you don't have any soldering skillz, it might not interest you.

Thanks for this info! It just saved me a trip to the dealership. I believe what happened to me was I had the Passenger Air Bag warning light unplugged while I was doing some mods to my '09 Pathfinder. I probably turned the ignition on with it unplugged. This somehow puts the SRS Air Bag System in Di...

That looks awesome Brokentoy. You've got some skillz!
I don't imagine it was an easy task to get the wires to run down inside the seat.

What's Up? From central Alberta, Canada

Hi guys, I just picked up my '09 Pathfinder SE 4x4 (dark blue) on the weekend. It is a US model. I'm planning on adding the following to it in the near future: Roof crossbars (for the cargo box I have) Trailer brake controller Backup camera Real time OBD monitor / GPS system Last week, I sold my 200...
