Update on my Path: I found a mechanic willing to do payments. The cost was 1900.00. He first confirmed the coolant in the oil. He mentioned that he gets a few of these a month. Not just Nissans, but that he has done a few Paths before as well. Anyways, he rebuilt the tranny and replaced the convert...

I dont have a pair of calipers to measure one. Have you tried ebay? I bought a bag of 10 for less than $10, way cheaper than the dealer. I know I used the same washer for the transmission drain plug....I just cant remember if I used the same for the differential. Im thinking not, but I honestly dont...

Re: 2008+

I have a 2008+ with 60K miles and I off road mine pretty hard. Only changed the tranny oil and coolant at 30K. Going to change them again soon. Just checked the fluids and no problems so far. Not sure if I'm going to do the mod. Maybe the 2008+ have better internals? I've noticed that Nissan has ma...

Is this the faint high pitch squeal I hear now and then? Sounds like brakes but it does it sitting still and not very loud.

Why is it important that the exaust system be grounded? And is it not grounded to the engine block already?

You can never have too much filtration. Good idea. Unfortunately if you already had the mix, chances are some damage was done. Hopefully not though.

Lower Control Link Recall?

Anyone know anything about a recall on something called the lower control link? I got a letter sent to my grandmothers (my old address). She called me and tried to tell me about it but she couldnt really tell me what it was about. Anyone else get a notice this week?

I havent dug into the workings of mine yet, but I would think that there is quite a bit of heat on them. But my guess would be its mostly heat transfer from the brakes since they sit right against the rotors. I was putting new calipers on my brothers ford explorer the other day and was checking out ...

I did the bypass 2 months ago. Not even a month later I looked at the rubber caps that I used to cap the radiator cooler and they were cracking. Im beginning to wonder if the trans fluid is caustic itself.

The one hose comes from the trans, the one on the right goes to the cooler. There is no center hose so not sure what you mean. The deal on the top center is where i put the sender for the trans temp gage. The bottom center hose clamp is the cap from where i disconnected the cooler lines from the rad...

From what i read you just have to warm up on a cold day before taking off , they say you cannot cool the fluid to a point where it is detrimental , there is plenty of heat transfered from engine block and from trans internals once you are moving . Will just warm up a few minutes on a -10- -30 day A...
