there are plenty of guys in Canada in WD21's that have done this exact same thing ( but we have to add an aftermarket cooler since WD's came without an external cooler) who have had no problems with the bypass-radiator cooler. You have to factor in that the coolant at the bottom of the radiator is going to be cooler than the coolant coming in from the engine at the top. What the temp is at the bottom after the coolant has gone through the radiator I couldn't say but I still think the radiator trans cooler has some coolin...
the fluid is still coming out of and going back into the tranny the same direction they always will, if you reversed lines then all you did was reverse the flow through the cooler which shouldn't cause any problems
