Re: speedo correction

How would I correct the speedo when going to a larger tire? Im cosidering Nitto Tera Grapler's in a 285-75/16<------1st off will these fit on stock wheels? Im also looking at the 5in suspension lift from Calmini. I use this calculator when looking at tire sizes http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc....

Calmini has a 5" kit.

http://www.purenissan.com/2005_preview1.htm

Just put a similar kit form them on a friends Frontier, great quality and reasonable price.

Don't do the body. It does nothing to improve ride or performance.

I stay right around 18 MPG with mixed driving. This is based on the in dash computer and backed up by hand calculation everytime i fill up.

I can stay around the 20 MPG at around 75 MPH on flat interstate.

Only mod is Nismo CAI.

So far no complaints.

This is a great option for a maintenance free option with a lifetime warranty.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Got a few trips to work on these. Firmed up the ride in the rear. Seems to be less body roll in sharp turns. The rear suspension up travel is more limited now, but it is met by a firm "squish" instead of the normal stock up travel the results in the harsh bottoming out. Headed to the mount...

Got the Timbrens installed. Here are a few pictures. I will update the thread when i get some miles on them and can compared to stock. This setup just replaces the factory rear bump stops. They are about a 1/8th of a inch from contacting at normal ride height with no load. http://i262.photobucket.co...

Got a stocker out of a '07 Xterra. Pulled it out right after we bought the truck new. Traded the truck with the aftermarket radio in it so i have no use for it. In new condition. PM me if you want it.

Pressure sensor/sender would be my next thing to check. If you have a ohm meter you should be able to check what it is sending to the gauge. At that point you can rule out the gauge or the sender and replace the guilty party.

Don't buy into the marketing hype. Fram filters are garbage. Maybe another story for a different thread, but i am surprised. Using a quality filter is as important as using a quality oil. Wix(Napa Gold) or a Amsoil filter is all that i will use. I have heard good things about the Mobil 1 filters als...
