Just completed my bypass at 85600 miles. Had good clean/clear pink fluid. Whew...not that I was having any symptoms though. For those hesitating to do the bypass (post warranty expiration), it's super easy. I was afraid of having to take things apart, like the front skid plate. But no, used 2 vice g...

Thanks Mar1, that's kinda disconcerting about the Titan's cab issues. I haven't considered an F150, I've owned 2 Fords in the past and they were OK ('69 Econoline 100 van and '79 Mustang Pace Car). I may take a look, I'm in no rush so why not. Though, I better do my tranny bypass ASAP...if I'm gonna...

Possibly departing with my '05 Pathy, going full truck

I've been away for a while and just gotta say "Wow" about the tranny issue still increasing. Keep it going all, Nissan and NHTSA will hopefully step up! Now back to your regularly scheduled program... So, my wife and I finally bought us a house and with 2 large dogs we're thinking the Path...

I don't have a pic of my actual latch, but the one in the Courtesy link above (and here) is pretty much it, just in the tan "C" color. I did confirm I ordered 96927-EA102 on my receipt from Fontana, for $16.10.

I don't know if the V8 Pathy's are different in the interior. But for mine, color trim code "C" is the tan. I ordered the 96927-EA102 and although it looked wrong on the website, I did get the tan one and worked out great. If unsure, call to make sure before ordering. Fontana priced me the...

Yesterday I did a tire rotation just to see if anything changes. Nope, same. Gonna try fighting the dealer one last time. The problem is it's so small and non-consistent of a vibration that they brush it off. Yet when it happens it's quite annoying. It is more prevalent at higher speeds (60-70 MPH)....

I'll do that IF the dealer doesn't fess up and repair it under warranty. The initial repair was, and since it wasn't completely or correctly repaired, it should still be. If it comes down to it and I have to pay someone, it will be an outside shop. This dealer completely sucks so far. Glad I didn't ...

OUCH...I may fight the dealer for getting this resolved since they "repaired" it.

Thanks slavabon, that's kind of what it feels like. How hard was it to replace the full shaft?

Good to know, thanks Jon! I'm taking the Pathy back to the dealer Tuesday. They replaced the front half-shafts' u-joints 2 weeks ago and since then the right front feels loose. At times I think it's the shock(s), others I don't know. I just know I didn't feel it before the servicing. And I did check...

Hmmm, no reply...I've been contemplating this question as well. But will probably go Monroe due to cost, user reports and ease of getting them.

So, how hard are the fronts to replace? Will I need a spring compressor or does dropping the suspension all the way fully relieve spring tension?

The issue is the radiator - the section inside the main radiator that the transmission fluid flows thru corrodes or breaks and cross contamination between the radiator and tranny occurs. The radiator fluid then kills the tranny. At first Nissan would say the radiator failed only, and that the tranny...

Got the u-joints replaced. It was definitely the issue...$100 deductible later. Now there's a new noticeable vibration. But I think it's shock or tire related. It's almost in time with speed and it comes and goes with road types and condition. Here comes and goes more $$...
