It's not lifted yet, still debating what to do. I don't like the idea of the pRG minilift as the shockers will not be long enough to cope and there are no suppliers of decent aftermarket kit here in the UK. Only thing I can source is a full OME Suspension kit but it is nearly £800 GBP!!

Thanks, that's great, grille already out, lower fender trims were removed long ago for better off-road clearance so just the arch liners to come out then :)

Removing front bumper

Anyone got any pics of how to remove the front bumper please? Got the grille off but need the whole bumper cover off now to install my winch mount. There usually hidden nuts/screws all over, so any tips in advance would be most welcome.

Not heard about fuel sender issues but yes the gearbox oil cooler is integrated into the radiator and if it fails the coolant gets into the gearbox and it's night-night!

There are well documented ways to add a seperate cooler though.

Clutches are very poor but I guess in the US you all get Auto transmission? Only other major issue is the rear aircon system if it has this fitted? The pipes that run under the car to the rear can corrode and leak, it costs serious money to fix as the body needs to be lifted off to get at them! So i...

Well I am running General Grabber AT2's, oversize (265/70/17), maybe contributing but doubt is as they have quite soft side walls.

Will replace all the shocks and get alignment done.

Jittery harsh ride

Had my Pathfinder around 2 months now (06 SVE manual) and generally very happy with it, the one thing I am not too keen on though is the harshness of the ride, it is very jittery and crashes and jumps about a lot when on uneven roads or hitting small pot holes. Is this a normal trait of the car or s...

Winch Mount?

Seen a nice discreet winch mount from TBRUK.com but it's very expensive at £750 UKP, anyone know of another supplier? I don't want a full ARB type bumper, just the concealed mount.

2" Lift - Options

From browsing the forum it looks like the PRG minilift is the best value lift kit around for the Pathfinder, planning on going for this but think I need longer rear shocks too so looking at OME units, will this combo work ok? Anything else I need to make this setup work properly?

1st off road trip in UK

Had a play around the off-road site I work for yesterday today. The Pathfinder is certainly a very different prospect to the Land Rovers that I have been used to. Main limitation is the restricted travel of the suspension as it is an independent setup biased for road use. It got cross axled very eas...
