Possible coolant leak cause

I did the by-pass also. First I had removed the radiator, then changed my mind of putting in a new one and then have the same thing happen again. ai talked to a rdiator specialist at 1800 radiator. He knew of the problem and told me the problem was that the torque converter was putting so much press...

tranny cooler bypassed

Done about 450 miles ago. small slip remains but only once in a while. This slip will probably stay. I drained the pan 4 times, about 20 qts. Installed an aftermarket cooler in line with existing cooler (comes with tow package vehicle). If Pathfinder doesn't come with tow package, I believe the cool...

Negative,

Matic J is red. I just got through draining and refilling my tranny for the fourth time in a week. Finally I think I got most of water out of atf. Dipstic now looks normal. True; looks light red on dipstick but red on white cloth or paper towel.

RE: Tranny by-pass

Is the return line to the transmission on drivers side? Any Idea why the transmission drain pan is generally empty only drops come out. i drained it (drop by drop) overnight and s total of 2 qts. came out. Now the dipstick says empty (at the tip of dipstick). I understand that if the lines were reve...

tranny cooler

If I reversed the tranny lines when doing the by=pass will I have created any problems. I did the by-pass and added another cooler in line with the existing external cooler. I removed 4 qts. of atf through the driver side tranny line and added 4 qts. of atf through dipstick. The atf still is milky s...

2005 Pathfinder tranny cooler/Coolant in transmission

I installed a tranny cooler in series with the existing cooler in front of radiator after bypassing atf cooler in radiator. Yes this is after I found coolant in tranny. I removed 4 courts of atf through driver side tranny hose (was on driver side of radiator). I briefly started Pathy and then it squ...

2005 atf cooler installed

As stated the cooler is known to have the walls crack and mix in with the coolant. Normally when we get a vehicle in our shop, reguardless of what make/model/year it is, if equipped with a transmission cooler that is built into the radiator we eliminate that and put external coolers on. We have had...
