Some people remove the skid plate while changing the oil. I just use the access hole in the skid plate and wipe up the spilled oil with some shop towels. Nissan added a little oil drain channel under the oil filter but it could be better.

Make sure everything is tight and bolts torqued to spec. If you're not comfortable doing that take it back to the shop that installed them.
