I bought an F150 crew cab. It's a big change from the Pathfinder and the two Grand Cherokee's I had before that. I having a growing family and wanted something with more room in the backseat. Plus having a bed is nice. I got tired of folding all the seats down every time I needed to haul something b...

With the transfer case switched to AUTO, your truck should be running in 2wd all the time unless wheel slippage is detected and in that case it will shift into 4wd automatically.

I installed the aluminum ones on mine last year. No problems with installation or performance. I actually prefer the zerk fitting so I can ensure the u-joint still has grease in it. My stock u-joint had no grease and the needle bearings were just a pile of dust when i replaced mine.

U-joints are about 20-30 a piece. So you are paying around 250-300 for labor.

There is a dipstick for the transmission it is located near the back of the engine on the passenger side. It it not obvious at first and is bolted down. The pressure gage on the dash is for oil pressure.

The oil pressure sensor is not hard to find. It's located on the passenger side of the engine. When installing the new sensor you may want to add some rtv sealant to the threads to prevent any oil leaks.

Do all the lights stay on even after driving around for a few minutes? Whenever I disconnect the battery on mine some of the dash lights will remain on until I drive for a few miles.

I don't recall if anyone on this forum has replaced the timing chain and tensioners but somebody has on the club frontier forums. Good luck with the repair!
