Per pdf page 12 of the owners manual, it's the heated seat switch for the driver's seat. Left to right the switches are: 4WD, driver's heated seat, VDC, HDC, passenger's heated seat.

My SWAG: Looking at the first picture, you can see the 4WD Shift Switch and the VCD switch. The wire bundle for the VDC looks completely separate from the 4WD Shift Switch bundle. That suggest separate sub-bundles for the switches above the gear shift. Since the Hill Descent Control is to the passen...

Or use a brass punch or a non-metalic item.

The trailer's tare (empty) and gross weights should be either stamped in the metal or on a label affixed to the trailer -- along with the VIN. If stamped, it's often on the A-frame near the coupler. I would also think the axles would have their capacity labeled/stamped on them since you could change...

I'm not sure about bedlining & painting. A number of different sites have people who have done it with both good & bad results. One of the bedliner mfrs. posted that it can't be done, but a number of people have done it and the paint has been holding fine for a few years. Why not have the b...

The fuel pumps weren't lemons. There was a bad ground connection on the fuel pump wiring harness connector. This cause the ground to come and go or, more likely, improper (low) and inconsistent voltage to the fuel pump. With low voltage to the pump, the current (amp) increases causing the pump to ov...

I have a 5lb ABC extinguisher that I put in the little netted cubby in the left rear of the cargo compartment. It is further held in by the storage box I keep along the left side of the cargo area. At one point, I had two 1 to 2lb extinguishers in the storage box but one was removed when moving into...

Except for this rash of fuel pumps over the last 5 weeks, she's been a good vehicle. She has nearly 87,000 miles so there's bound to be some kinks and I hope she's done. Like many people, I accentuate the negative and don't mention to good often enough. Also, my fuel level sending unit history has a...

Killed another fuel pump

So, my Pathfinder killed another fuel pump -- third fuel pump in 5 weeks. Pathy wouldn't start Monday evening. Checked obvious and added two gallons of gas just in case the 1/8 tank reading on fuel gauge was off due to pump replacements. Still no joy. Hoping pump will "reset itself" if I l...
