Re: Should the heater pipe be a preventative maintenance part?

Your "low coolant" light essentially is your temp gauge or CEL  heh well driving for half an hour at over 110 degrees C and next to no coolant and the oil still looks fresh and after replacing the broken heater pipe all seems normal again. just topping off the reservoir as needed...

Re: Should the heater pipe be a preventative maintenance part?

so glad I found this! I was towing the boat out to the lake and on the way home noticed the temp climbing above 100 celsius. With no coolant light and not wanting to pull over I thought ok maybe the thermostat so I just nursed it home. Long story short I drove maybe half an hour with that pipe shear...

Which front+rear turn signals to use?

For some reason I've come across 2 diff bulbs to use for the turn signals. 7444 and 3457A.
I've also seen it said a 3157 can cross over.

Which is the correct one to use?
Would like to replace with canbus error free (non hyper flash) LED's if they exist.

Re:

Any completed pics on this setup??? thx Sorry for the late reply, I have seen posted on a few forums where they moved things around under the hood so they could have both batteries mounted side by side under the hood. But that looked like a lot of work and since I pose very few mechanical skills I d...

Falken WildPeak AT3's

Anyone running these? Seem very popular on the light off roading crowd. I don't do any but I do travel gravel/back roads so I'd like a tire with some teeth. I honestly haven't seen much in the way of bad things to be said about them. Wear isn't fantastic but if I can get 4-5 years of use out of them...

Welp probably doesn't matter any more, since the tire is discontinued.... I got roughly 86,000 KM out of my tires before one tire has accumulated 3 nails over the life and the last one is a big bolt so I need to replace them. The last 2 years on these tires had a significant drop off in performace i...

9007 LED bulbs

Anyone using them? do they still have the high beam function? and I know about using them in a non projector housing. I'm running HID's now but one has started to flicker so it's new HID's or try the LED bulbs. I'm just not sure how high beams work on a LED. they just pump more power into it? any co...

Stupid question... Where's the vacuum hose u use to suck in the sea foam? Thanks lol. I have 108k on a 2011 V6 4x4. Recently I just did a SeaFoam treatment (1 whole can) via the brake booster vacuum line as well as used to SeaFoam spray in the throttle body. I've gone from about 240ish-250ish miles ...

Energy suspension bushings

Does anyone know the replacement part for energy suspension bushings?
I'm on my 2nd set of OEM ones and want to try something different see if they last longer.
Oops dumb me. Front sway bar bushings, and rear I guess might as well replace them both.

Thanks.

I'm almost at 200,000 mi. on my 08 SE and at 170,000 mi. on my 06 LE. Timing chains have been replaced and radiators replaced, so, I should be getting a lot more miles out of both of them....knock on wood! I just did the airlift airbags and new Bilstien shocks as most suggested on the forum on the ...

Still no change but I'm waiting till it warms up to do the plugs. Maybe the throttle body and such needs a cleaning... My average (according to computer) is 18L/100km, So 13MPG roughly. Although for where I live (Vancouver, BC) this city isn't laid out well so to go 15km to work I have to cut throug...

I think.... (sorry Canadian KM's here) I'm only at 88k miles.
according to torque, my fuel flow at idle is around 30cc/min.

coolant temp seems to climb and run normally. warms up and stays at 90 celsius give or take a couple.

It has never lost this much mileage in all the years I've had it. Even accounting for my auto starting which hasn't been much since it hasn't dropped below 0 yet.
