No. And that has me concerned. I did the bypass 2 weeks before the trips, fluid looked dark, but still reddish/pink.

Tranny Flush

I have a 2007 Path. 66k. My trans fluid is looking quite cooked after 2 long round trips from Oklahoma to Indiana and back, 3000 miles total in 2 weeks. Yes, I already did the bypass. Any suggestions on where to take her, or is the dealer my best bet? Looks like I need to get an aux cooler, eh?

Duct tape! :D Nah, just kidding. I'll go with the plugs. One less hose under there the better. Thanks man!

I am definitely doing the bypass. Another question. I've seen a lot of posts saying to get vacuum caps for the main radiator when you move the lines. Can you not just take that line that went from the main radiator to the trans cooler and plug it back into the main, forming a loop?

You weren't kidding about the boat load of threads. Since it is apparently rather easy to do the bypass, what if any drawbacks are there? I've read people say you do need the radiator for towing, others say you don't. Yes it gets hot here in the summer, but not hot enough to cook a tranny. And as ...

Tranny Issue

Okay folks. All this talk about the overheating tranny and contamination of the fluid and bypassing this that and the other is new to me. And it has me very concerned. I have 61k on my 2007 pathy. I don't do any major wheeling, just use the 4wd on moderate grades on really rough, unpaved country ...

My '07 makes the same abs type noise from what seems to be the front left tire when I loose traction. The response I got was that because I was in 4 wheel drive and that tire was spinning faster that the rest, it was making that sound. Now I'm not so sure because when the other tires slip, they don ...

Sweet. :D I was really worried that I had already messed my rig up. I have a tendency to tear vehicles apart. My grandfather once said that I could break a crowbar. I'm hoping the Pathfinder can handle what I throw at it.

It's a bare bones Pathfinder, which is what I wanted, with 4H-4L. Freakin' LOVE this thing! I've had old Jeeps in the past, but this puppy is by far superior. I have yet to get stuck, even after having to suddenly detour through a ditch, field, frozen swamp and then up the side of an on ramp. There ...

Noise In 4 Wheel Drive

I have a 2007 Pathfinder S. Just got it a few months ago. Love it! I'm here in Oklahoma and we just got 18+ inches of snow, so I'm getting to use the 4 wheel drive for the first time. Problem is when I have to make a sharp left or right turn there is a noise coming from my from left that sounds like ...
