Careful with the dressing. I sprayed my serpentine with a little belt dressing and the damn thing jumped the tensioner.

Ended up replacing the tensioner and belt myself using parts from the local dealership. Pretty quick & easy job and not too expensive either.

Thanks, man. Loving mine as well. Much better grip than the POS whatever's that were on there before. Still nice & quiet, good ride. Dig em. Not surprised to hear of the 2psi rise in the rear when towing. Heavier load + driving wheels = more tire flex = more heat. http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/h...

Burped again. It did take more fluid and the rear heat started getting warm"ish"... but still not blowing very hot. Process: Put the truck on ramps Stick a bottle in the radiator cap (see vid. Uploading to YouTube) Fire it up, rev it a bunch of times, let the bubbles come up & refill. ...

Replaced it again... yay. Let's hope this one holds up for more than 14 months. Side note: I don't see how ANYONE can remove that damn shroud with the fan or even just the clutch in place.... WTF :?: The only way I could remove or replace the shroud was by removing the fan clutch. No way, no ...

Burped it.
I now have great heat at idle.
Rear heat is still weak but I THINK it's a little better.

What do I check next? Comes up to temp quickly.

Got em installed... 684 + valve stems (that I didn't need) and balancing (which wasn't included) + MA sales tax (which sucks)... came to $811 out the door. :? Whatever, still the cheapest around and I like them a lot so far. Look great, good ride, nice & quiet on the highway. Two thumbs up. Lets...

Got an appointment for Weds to slap on some new sneakers... 267/75/16. $684 installed by www.townfairtire.com
They're about the cheapest I can find anywhere.

Thanks for the links. Looks like I've got to burp the system.
Thermostat should be good. It's coming up to temp quickly. Only symptom is cold air at idle.

I did notice the rear heat isn't working very well, either... Hopefully burping the system will iron that out, too.

Weak Heat at low RPM's

Wondering what could cause my heat to blow cool air at sub 1.5k rpms. Coolant is topped off, no leaks as far as I can tell Anyone else have this issue in the past? What's the fix? Does the system need to be bled? Heater core on its way out? EDIT: Did some reading and it seems I need to bleed the sys...

Transmission temps

Just wondering what kind of temp range you guys are seeing. I've got a Bully Dog GT and monitored my transmission temps while towing heavy (4-5000lbs?) from Boston, MA to Millville, New Jersey a few weeks ago. Normal non towing temp is around 150*F Towing heavy, at times, I saw upwards of 215-220*F ...

Any particular reason why you guys are all using a 2 valve set-up? Is it just so if one bag starts leaking you know which one it is?

I installed a 7 pin round harness so I drilled a hole in the mounting bracket for that and stuck the valve through, just like in the photo below.

However I used a T for the hoses so I've only got one valve.

Oh yeah... And I hate your truck. Makes me wanna do crap to mine since I know exactly what it'll look like.
