I went with the Cooper AT3's. So far they are GREAT, but then again I have driven them about 20 miles around town. The GY silent armors I was looking at were being discontinued and that ruled them out. Going with the 265/75r16 was a good choice, they fill the wheel well up a little better than the ...

Anyone have issues with Beck Arnley fan clutches? I bought one a little over a year ago and it already needs replacing again.

Damnit. I've been getting the same code. Replaced my fuel cap as well and it's still not going away. Was just about to post up about it but it seems that's been done for me. :)

Now to find out where it's leaking from :(

Wow. What a cake walk. Drove to stealership, waited in line, got parts, waited in another line, paid for parts (77.50), drove home, popped hood, pulled off intake, started wrenchin, replaced belt and tensioner, put it all back together, fired it up, tested okay, dropped hood, put a way tools, washed...

Personally, I don't believe in belt dressing. Nor do I. I was just using it to confirm that it was the belt that was actually squealing, not a pully bearing or something. Regardless, there have been known issues with the tensioners and a TSB was released for belt squeek instructing to replace the t...

Found a good topic. - http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=2384 That's gonna help me a bit. Does the fact that the belt jumped off the tensioner mean there's anything else I have to worry about? There was a small amount of play in the tensioner pully. Side note: I've had this Pathfinder for ...

Belt was squealing - jumped off the tensioner

As it says, the main belt on my '05 V6 was squealing, mainly between 2k and 3k rpm's but typically only when the engine was warm. I did a quick visual inspection & saw that the flat side of the belt looked a LITTLE worn and brown. So I went to apply some belt dressing (engine cool) to see if it ...

Rhetorical oil change question...

Why the hell would Nissan put the drain hole a good 1/2 an inch above the bottom of the pan? Is it just me, or is there going to be like a whole cup of old oil in my oil pan when the thing is done dripping? Silly bastids  Although, I do like the little access cover and oil drip "ramp"...

I had the same thing going on with my 05. Just a little low on the coolant. I topped off the system a few weeks ago and it's been fine since.

The only other SUV that I even considered getting besides the PF was the 4runner. Everything else is unreliable, too big or too soft in comparison. Lovin my PF though. Saved a ton of money on it over the 4runner. Paid 14k out the door for it. Comparable 4runners of the same vintage & condition w...

i got 275/70/16s no rubbing (except when offroading) What tires are you running? Now that I realize I've got 16's and not 17's my tire search has taken a new spin. Was looking at the BFG Rugged Terrain T/A but it looks like it has a low tread wear rating though they still have a 6yr 50k mile warran...

I'm not finding the General Grabber AT anywhere online... the AT2's, yes, but the AT's, no. With that said, I'm giving the AT2's a look. 265/70R17 115S $139.00 (ea.) at TireRack. $159.00 (ea.) at DiscountTire. Approx how many miles are people getting out of these? On the General website it says &quo...

Interestingly enough, I actually saw a thread over on clubfrontier.org about try 255/75/17's that may be of some interest.

http://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f78/ ... eel-72384/

I'm interested in hearing what others on here have to say about that.
