well, at least it's not a super expensive fix. I'm hoping it's not something transmission related. I read a few threads that seem to show comparable symptoms. I already have a new transmission in it, thanks to the radiator issue. That was 3 years, 30k miles ago. It's definitely noticeable. More so i...

Thanks, that's something I didn't consider. It feels identical to the symptoms from the camshaft sensor, but without the codes. Strange update, today we got a solid dusting of snow, maybe a quick inch, and it was doing it a lot more on my way to work.....in 2wd. U-joints all around? It's got 97k mil...

engine sputters in 4wd

2007, v6. I just replaced the cam sensor sensor for 1 bank this summer. It seemed like the same symptom, a shudder in the drivetrain under acceleration, almost shutting off. I have no codes in the reader though. Its not a persistant shudder, just a quick hesitation. It seems to only happen when I'm ...

Hey guys, I checked this out on my 07, I found the fitting, but it doesn't look like the ones pictured. I don't have the top T fitting. Am I limited to just getting the front end up and opening the caps?

Mine had a shudder in it when it wanted to shift out of overdrive. About 1100 rpm (I think), really let it bog down, and it would shudder bad. I thought it was the torque converter, could do it on command, dealership said it was the transmission.

Anyone ever have their radio blink but not come on?

Seems like it started when I got the pathfinder back from the radiator/transmission replacement. The radio looks dead to the eye, but if you shade the power button, you can tell it's getting power for half a second, then off. I thought the radio went shot, so I replaced it with a nicer Dual Din unit...

Might be interested if you're local enough for a day trip to pick up. Can't imagine pricing on shipping isn't horrendous.

just found this, thought I would give you the update. I had it to a shop that I use for muffler and exhaust work. They found that the tech notched the pipe for whatever reason. Cut in a piece of new pipe, $106 later and I'm good to go. Granted, I shouldn't have had to pay for it, but I wasn't overly...

transmission repair, then exhaust leak?

Seems like ever since I got the pathfinder back with the new transmission, I've heard an exhaust leak. I can't see anything obvious, definitely not the muffler. Does anyone know if the exhaust gets separated or anything when you drop the transmission? I'd hate to take it to the dealer and either pay...

Well, after 2 days of driving a Juke, got the pathfinder back today. New radiator and transmission, coolant flush and all. Drives well, a welcome change from that rollerskate of a car.
From clear fluids to shot in 2 weeks.

Re: Who's getting a new transmission??

My take on this comment is that once contamination happens, the damage is done. So if out of extended warranty, plan to do something quick to the radiator. Seems a replacement radiator for a known problem becomes a wise investment. Thankfully still under the extended drivetrain warranty, and the ex...

For those that have had the transmission replaced due to the radiator issue, what kind of coolant flush was done? I've got to imagine a milkshake in the cooling system doesn't do it much good. Is it standard practice to do that or am I looking for issues down the road?

Who's getting a new transmission??

and a new radiator under warranty? That's right, this guy. Thought it was a torque converter shudder, dealer called me after lunch and said next week for a new transmission due to radiator contamination. Never did the bypass, up to last week the fluids were both clean and clear. Today I pulled the r...

I just picked up my '07 at the dealer service yesterday. Dropped it off for a shudder in the transmission, in overdrive, at 40mph. The shudder you are speaking of is a programming issue. Back me up here guys but I believe there were prior posts about the 40 mph "bump." They can adjust it ...
