have you tried scanning the computer first for the code? If so, what's the code? If not.. any autozone will scan it for free for you.

Initial thought is... Mass Air Flow Sensor may be dirty or malfunctioning.

definitely exhaust. check where the pipe comes up by the rear wheel. There is a flange up there has the potential to hold water/snow/ice/salt. It ends up rusting out. Sure enough there is a clamp that holds the final piping and the muffler piping together and the clamp is completely broken and rust...

Just started happening a couple days ago. Not too fond of the noise at all! Freaking me out. Any Clues? Noise really only happens when I put the her in a Reverse or a Driving gear. Stays quiet in Park and Neutral. Also stays quiet when I'm on the move, but once I go below 1k rpm, noise starts again....

As far as I know, having O/D Off keeps the car from shifting into the final gear. Basically it won't go past 3rd gear. As a rule of thumb, when I'm stuck in traffic on the highway or what not, I go O/D Off this way the tranny isn't constantly shifting into 4th and then back down..back up.. back down...
