Sorry to resurrect this old thread....but I installed a new MAF sensor & did the ECM reprogram at my dealer ($94) and still have a persistent CEL w/ P0101 code. Anybody else have this issue? 2012 Silver edition 4x4 w/ 102,000 miles. My independent mechanic hasn't been able to locate the issue as...

If it attaches to the side of the air box it's a vent for the front diff.

that's funny...my rear blower was stuck on high yesterday & wouldn't respond to the front or rear controls. I shut the engine off and the controls were working just fine after re-starting the engine. it never did that before.

Also, my overactive alternator turned out to be a digital multimeter with a dying battery. With a fresh 9-volt battery it now reads 12.5 off & 14 volts with the engine running.

a new brake light switch has apparently cured the VDC & No Brake Light issue. Still need to deal with the overcharging alternator....

Are you sure that your issues aren't related to a loose negative battery clamp? I have a 2012 Silver edition (Bose, no nav). I've had trouble with the radio changing to CD when the engine is turned off and a clock that decides when it wants to keep the correct time since I got the vehicle as a CPO 2...

I think everyone will agree that the 2011/2012 model years are pretty solid. I bought a 2012 CPO 2 years ago. I have not had to use the CPO warranty, but I'm not impressed with the 100 or whatever checks it went thru to become a CPO. The tires were 5/32" tread, the battery was on it's last leg,...

So I was OK when the clock was 2 minutes slow and wouldn't hold the correct time....but now it's an hour and 40 minutes slow which can be confusing.

So, any trick to getting the long-term storage fuse out? And does this truly solve the problem?

+1 on the branch out, look further away at maybe higher-volume dealers. My local dealer doesn't get many used R51s in...and when they do they over-price them. I drove 2-1/2 hours to find my certified 2012 silver edition. cars.com can be a good search tool.
