Re: clicking and no start

Ended up taking it to NIssan dealer. They couldn't get an oem Nissan starter as it was back order for over a month so they installed an aftermarket one to get me back on the road and gave me 2 years/24,000 miles warranty on the aftermarket starter.

Re: clicking and no start

thanks. I hooked up a wire from the +12V to the + of the starter relay and the starter is not starting. I followed all the steps in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_UBQDPR5pM I'm thinking it's time for a new starter. (and it'a bitch to change on the V8) 15 years on the original starter ...

Re: Any high mileage R51's out there with little problems?

2008 SE V8 Pathfinder with 125K miles. Recently changed oem shocks for some yellow bilsteins, new brake pads (was still original) and had a front pinion seal leak that was also fixed. Engine still runs strong (V8 is a beast in midsize suv) and I fill up with 91 at Costco most of the time. Purchased ...

Re: Best rugged tire for ~2in lift with stock 18in V8 LE rims

stock height 2008 V8 SE and I have been running the BFG KO2 275/65/18 for the past 5 years. they have been excellent in all conditions: sand, mud and snow.
If I lift the truck I would probably go with same tires in a bigger size.

Re: Anyone own a V8 Pathy and have a review?

original owner here. Bought mine new summer of 2007. I have about 110K miles now. So Cal all its life. No rust at all. Solid SUV. Only things that broke were fuel unit early on ( dealer replaced) and the clock spring last year. I changed it my self. Other than that: oil changes, new tires, new spark...

it only does it when it's cold so it's kinda odd. I would think if it was the starter, it would fail all the time.

I always ran 24F since I have the V8. Not sure what's next. starter relay or starter going bad ? I cleaned up battery te...

got my replacement from Courtesy Nissan and installed them tonight. All 8 of them had the exact same gap 0.037 ish which is about the gap that was on the oem ones I removed with 120K on them. The counterfeits I pulled had various gaps: 3 were 0.020, 3 were 0.025 and 2 were 0.030 ish. I also noticed ...

I ordered 8 new spark plugs from courtesy Nissan for $140.. the counterfeit really look like the original ones I...

mine been great :) paired with a good set of tires, it has been good in snow and desert runs. Only thing is the lack of aftermarket vs Toyotas.
